i feel violated
wow. cant u appeal or smth?
omfg i miss you and i love you.
i am well sure that the forum can handle a few swear words in the spam forum, since most of the users there don't even use habbo and are aged well above 16
i have 2 infractions but at 4 points so one more and i'm cautioned. they give out 2point infractions so easily. should only be for serious. :S
i thought u said too much?
5 is too few.
should be like 10.
oh i understand now lol. didnt realise youre talking about getting cautioned.
me get 1 more infraction and goodbye habbox
hmm in some sense I agree but you shouldn't be getting any in the first place!! I'll talk to Brandon and see what his opinion is on the current system :)
I think the current system is pretty great :) If it was too hard to gain infractions, then everyone would be breaking the rules ect..
Swearing shouldn't be on the forum. End of. If you don't have the maturity to talk in a sensible manner, then a ban is necessary.
I know some forums such as ClubHabbo allow swearing but they aren't an official site so they have nothing to live up to. I do agree that some infractions we give out are for silly things but we're just doing as we're told.
what i never get infractions anymore
i haven't in forever, but i get lots of warnings etc
infractions are hard enough to get so let's leave it
Current system is fine imo :P There seems to be far less infractions given out these days (probably because the forum is less active and maybe members are being better behaved or could be a number of other factors haha). It's pretty hard to get to the serious ban levels and you would have to break the rules a serious amount of times to warrent these haha. Don't think allowing swearing is a good idea either, just makes the place look bad and created an unpositive atmousphere. There is a big age range on the forum and we have to remember to suit the rules for all of these not just the ones who are into swearing a lot. But yeah, don't see anything wrong with the infraction system the way it is really. :P
Infractions only last for two months so you would have had a pm, then a warning followed by infractions so there must have been quite a few occasions you have broken the rule within this time. Each category of rule break is dealt with this way. 99% of the forum get the message with the sending of a pm or at worst the issuing of a warning. :P Some though just carry on - you decide which category you come into. It is a lot more lenient than it used to be - 10 infraction points used to get you a permanent ban, there were no pm reminders and infractions never expired.
Blimey, it already takes a fair few infractions for someone to start being cautioned/temp banned. As Rosie said, they only last 2 months before they expire, so if you're getting them at such a rate and are getting cautioned for it then you should ask yourself why and consider taking note of what moderators say in their PM's :P
swearing 5 times in 2 months is hardly anything
god ur acting like i have tourettes.
i don't think you should get cautions for that kind of thing tbh.
Aha, well the filter is in place for a reason but theres nothing stopping you from swearing, as long as you let the filter catch the word! :P
Well the caution would have been automatic and would have taken all of his active infractions into account, not just the ones for filter avoidance. :P
Well you wouldn't get 5 infractions for that number. :P Avoiding the filter is against the rules and getting 5 infractions means that you must well know it is so why continue to do it? I don't think that having tourettes means that they have the compulsion to write swear words does it? LOL.
Swearing isn't necessary to have a conversation and it's hard to talk to someone who feels they need to use an expletive for every other word when we would hope they have been properly educated to use actual words which accurately sum up their thoughts. That said, when the word has a harmless meaning (i.e. one that is used by the media and means something completely different or less-harmful to the explitive) and is used in appropriate context then it should be fine. Obviously this won't work because Habbox is known to not understand the world outside and experience has taught me this.
