You know the sex scenes, kissing scenes etc. in movies.. Do you feel awkward if you are watching the movie with your friends or parents and there are such scenes?
Sometimes, I think it depends what context it is in. If I was watching it with my sister then we would just laugh about it generally, with my family I'm not really sure as I don't watch films with them much.
If it was say my boyfriend I would just watch it and not feel awkward at all. Friends on the other hand, I would be wondering what they were thinking too and they'd probably feel the same with me.
However, if it's a kissing scene I don't think it would be as awkward as a sex scene, I think the age you are could also contribute to if you feel awkward in different situations or not too :P
I felt a bit awkward watching Black Swan with my mum.
only with parents (but i haven't watched a film that has sex scenes with my parents for years so idk if that's still the case) - with friends, no. we all watched black swan when it first came out on dvd and were too busy drooling overmegmila kunis
Yeah. That's how I feel too. A lil bit awkward and just wondering what my brother/parents were thinking. It's inappropriate, I would say. haha. maybe that's why there are family movies.
omg I watched it with my brother and it was so awkward. And let's not forget 'Love And Other Drugs' lol.
i sit there like "why is this even appropriate? what is the POINT in this sex scene? is it relevant to the story?!!?!?!? wow brainwashing us SEX SELLS GUYS!!!!!!!!!!!!" i prob make it more awkward
yeah haha especially with my mum, but not really with my friends :)
With my friends, nope.
With my family, I usually go to the toilet during scenes like that because its so awkward xD
I do try to avoid eye contact with my parents during scenes like that cos at least one of us would have to make a bad joke to diffuse the awkward silence/atmosphere!
haha, not really. like sometimes the sex scenes my parents make a deal of it and it's like oh.
i don't really like watching movies with my friends tho. like, there were some lesbians kissing and cos my friend is rly homophobic she was shouting out **** lmao, it was awkward for me. my friends are alright to be with as long as there are no lesbians/gays doing things. :S
Only with my parents, I do get embarrassed for characters in TV shows and films though, regardless of whether or not I'm with someone else
i only find it awkward if i'm watching it with a family member, otherwise no.
if i'm with my family i find it realllyyy awkward.
watched friends with benefits with my mum.. never again.
my mom and dad have always been the type to joke it out so it's never awkward.
my dad is usually like EH SHE'S GOT HER NORKS OUT and my mom is just like "well this is fun" hahahah.
I never find it awkward until my mum or dad have the need to comment on it and joke about it against me. Even then it's not really awkward, it just pisses me off and I never watch films with them so... With friends? To an extent but not a huge amount.
Not with friends, but I find it a bit awkward when I'm watching them sort of films with my parents. :P
Not really I just tend to say something like "here we go... *rolls eyes*" I guess sometimes when it's too much I go a little red but nah generally don't feel awkward. However don't think I could bare to watch a film such 'a serbian film' with my family, I'd rather get hit by a bus.
We had to watch Titanic in year 6 and the sex scene was pretty awkward for us at that age.
I used to in front of my mum, like when we went to watch sex drive (i know right lol!) but now I couldn't care less. In front of friends it's hilarious.
Just with my parents, I haven't actually watched a film with them in years though so idk if it still would be. It's always been pretty funny when i'm with friends.
uh i tend to just be like 'lalalalala looks outside/pretends to be on my phone" cos it's weird, but ive not had that with my parents. i watched the inbetweeners movie with my 16 y/o male cousin and it was a bit awkward.. we watch geordie shore all the time though and it's not as weird
Whenever I'm watching an awkward scene with my parents I just glue my eyes to the screen because I know everyone in my family will have their eyes on me to see how I react.. :L
And ugh if a guy takes their shirt off or whatever in a movie and I'm watching it with my mum, she immediately leaps of the sofa and goes "YOU LIKE HIM YOU DON'T YOU CHARLIE! IT'S OK I WON'T TELL ANYONE!!!!!" ......... *facepalm*
So far the only movie I've seen with sex is...slim. But when I was watching the naked lady scene in the shining (and thankfully my Dad had gone to get pizza) I really wanted to vomit, but my curiosity kept me watching (stupid, stupid, stupid mistake. Oh, well). And today i just finished the book (was better than the movie) and I'm quite impressed.
And when I watch stuff where they kiss, I try not to look where they are liplocked (well, I did, when I was about eight). But now it' just eh, thats chiz.
I used to but not anymore lol. grown out of that i think at 18
I just avoid watching those type of films with my parents haha.
i find it awkward when im watching a film with a sex scene, and my mums in the next room and all the sound coming from your room is 'OHH YEHH BABY' & its even worse when they come in and its on :l
