umm no rs section is not pointless
The rs section has died yet again, but minecraft isn't active enough to warrant the change
it only came out on xbox yesterday tho so who knows what will happen with it
Even though I quit RS years ago. I would not want the change. Sure, the community is small, but it's still go lots of nice threads and achievement threads. I think it's nice keeping the rs community posting and despite it dying slightly, keeps those few users more active.
This thread always props up and its double-edged, you get this one year, then the next year there'll be a demand for it again.

The runescape is as about as active as the anime section but that never gets removed. Just because something has come out on xbox doesn't mean hxf users are actually gonna play the game. Sure minecraft might have a large audience (even i play it) but that doesn't mean it's gonna be popular on hxf. I play both games and with minecraft the only things you could really do is post pictures of something you built or help others with recipes. With runescape you can post stats, discuss new monsters, upcoming events, new updates. With minecraft updates rarely happen.
Stupid suggestion sorry, it already had one main sections + two subforums so merging it would need you to have 3 seperate subforums wherever u put it instead off joined, plus rs is the most played game on internet, so therefore if minecraft deserves one, not gonna say it doesn't as I don't know how popular it is, rs dwfinately deserves one. Tbh the popularity of rs forums would only drop if it was merged.

minecraft was released on xbox yesterday therefore im sure many people will either get it or already have it so create a subforum for xbox and for pc so users don't get confused
So? Just because it came out on xbox yesterday that doesn't mean everyone is going to play it and want to discuss it on the forum. The pc and xbox version are very similar so having separate subforums for them wouldn't make any sense, however if it ever became a problem then a pc and xbox prefix could be added to the titles? :PQuote:

Don't fix what isn't broken. Minecraft isn't as popular as it was 6 months ago - so having two sub-forums for something that shows no sign of becoming popular again would be a waste of effort. Besides, why would Minecraft need two sub-forums when both the Xbox and computer versions do exactly the same thing? Making two sub-forums on the whim that it may be popular (which is what you are suggesting) would be unwise, when there is no evidence that each edition will need a seperate sub-forum. The one forum will do, users will not get confused because both editions are far too similar.
As for the Runescape forum, well, that's up for debate. If it's no longer showing any sign of popularity then that forum could be moved down to Online Games and sit next to Minecraft, but for now it seems people want it to stay where it is.
You cannot put it in its own sub forum on the assumption that it will be used and be popular. If the minecraft section becomes very popular then who knows, but at the moment the runescape forum is WAY more active than the minecraft forum, and thats saying something as the runescape forum itself hasn't been doing great recently.Quote:

Minecraft forum use has been declining for about a year, if anything I'd say the minecraft sub-forum needs removing more than the runescape one.
I'd personally say the Call of Duty, been dying ever since the release of MW2.
Having specific game forums has always been a mystery to me. It makes far more sense to have sub-forums based on the style of game rather than anything like console.Quote:
