Hey guys, Just looking into getting the new samsung and the best deal I've found is on Three. I know their network used to be really bad, so I'm wondering has anyone used them recently, if so, how's it? x
Their coverage still isn't fantastic, but at least you can be guaranteed 3G everywhere I guess.
I've been with 3 for years and I have no problems with them, they're great, especially when you compare them to BT for example..
I'm on a 1 month rolling contract with Three, and I find that this network is best for places in the middle of nowhere!! But be advised, most mobile networks will be changing their monthly plans to higher rates, because of inflation. Just a warning :)
I am currently on 3 and it's fine for me. I usually get 'H' signal (whatever that is) as opposed to 3G but I do get it. It's a good network and great for deals in my opinion! Better than the likes of Orange and T-Mobile
I recently switched from 3 to T-Mobile. 3 we're okay, but their signal wasn't the best, now I'm with T-Mobile though if I can't get a signal with T-Mobile, it goes to Orange, which is good.
The thing I hated mostly about Three was their customer service. Terrible service and most of them didn't have a clue what to do, and always offered you unwanted products. I had recieved many calls and texts from Three offering me a new iPhone, a new iPad etc. and it get's really annoying!
T-mobile, orange and 3 are all the same company, and should be using the same masts with both 3 and T-mobile falling back onto the orange signal.
3 are not part of the same company, it is owned by Hutchison Telecommunications/Hutchison Whampoa based in Hong Kong . Orange and T-Mobile are though. They merged into Everything Everywhere but they both still trade as Orange and T-Mobile.
Although Three + Everything Everywhere do share 3G infrastructure I don't think all of their masts are shared properly yet.
Well the guys in the 3 store and on the customer service line confirmed this around 12 months ago when I got a contact with 3, my phone also falls back onto the orange network.
Edit; Quick research turned out I'm wrong, they have a partnership in the UK, and 3 is buying up orange in some other countries also they have shared ownership of orange and other networks in some countries. They might not be the same company but there very closely tided in business.
My friend is with them and his net seems to always load quick annoyingly
