Have Sulake maybe tried looking at the site which has a gigantic list of retros and is very easy to find? :S
It will be interesting to see how this all works out. I highly doubt all retros will go though, many will find a way to stay up I suspect.
Retros go down all the time, but people just keep making enw ones - they'll never be able to get rid of the problem!
Sulake have had active roles within the retro scene since 2007, nothing new just yet another warning which makes people more aware of private servers.
Didn't know that Sulake lack basic grammar.
Anyway, like others have said the problem with never seize, but do many people look at the Sulake site anyway? It's good that they put it on the help site too.
I know Flash isn't brilliantly secure but all a Habbo retro is ever going to do is a phishing attack.Quote:
These sites however are illegal, so called Habbo retro sites, which, when logging in, can cause serious damage by infecting computers with viruses, Trojans or other harmful or destructive codes.
I dont think this problem is stoppable really :P
And this is why Habbo.com is becoming worse and worse, because Sulake are pushing as many features into Habbo and quickly as possible just to attempt to beat retros.

Strictly speaking, it's not a dreadful idea. A lot of retros still don't have a working achievement system and a few still can't get horses to work correctly, so if Sulake develop incredibly complex features (e.g. The talent tree thing) then I'd imagine a lot of people would be more inclined to stick with Habbo for a while.
They won't win purely because retros can always be 1 better than Habbo and tempt users with free credits. To some, it doesn't matter, but to a majority it's why they sign up for retros in the first place. If Sulake provided competitions like Magic Mondays and VVacky VVednesdays still, they might have kept users because they offered rare prizes/credits. The only thing they offer is badges these days, which is fine but doesn't appeal to some people.
It would work if the features they implement were actually good.
Good thing I've never fallen for those sites!
