Eh, just curious what operating system people use.
I could probably guess what the most popular answer is going to be..
And the reason is probably because you haven't tried any other.
Anyway.

Android
The first operating system I used was Windows XP. Few years later, switched to Ubuntu.
I am currently using Windows 7 though. :)
Why is it Linux / Ubuntu?
Unix bro
Omg... dave's back :o
Windows 7 / OSX Lion.
I think the point they're trying to say is why did you list ubuntu with linux and none of the other countless distros
and why is it not multiple option as i'm sure tons of people use more than one.
That's not the point if you're going to state linux then ubuntu give list of other distros as well or don't list any :P
Righttt, an admin list some other distros in the poll please?
This thread is pointless. there's seriously been like 10 of these? People don't just use one operating system, and you've only listed 3, then put "Other" - that could stand for hundreds of options. Js.
leave the little ******* alone
ill be your friend nath

Windows but as the original poster stated it isn't because I haven't tried others.
Okay I'll admit I've never tried Linux - can anyone tell me Linux wise do you need to know a lot of commands for it - I've read a lot of posts about this and a lot of contradictions, some saying you need to know lots of commands for basic things, simple installations and some saying the opposite and I've read drivers can be a pain to get installed and working. I've never used it due to that, as I need my computer 99 percent of the time for work related stuff and trying to learn Linux would probably slow my work down a lot.
I've used Mac's but I've always preferred Windows. Mobile phone wise android right now.
But as people have also mentioned I've seen this post before many times, last month probably. It's like the TV/Film area, you always get a favourite film post every month.
