In reality, it's actually the sub who has most of the real power especially the power to make things stop if/when it's past their intended limits, which the author completely disregards in favour of some big bloke forcing the character to do things she's not really up for. It also plays into the whole hymen-mutilation myth which people tend to believe in and are really only just learning the truth about - for those not in the know, a girl's hymen is not "broken" or "popped" when she has sex, and any bleeding that occurs is because you're doing it wrong. There's nothing magical and adventurous about having your most sensitive area lacerated by a blunt object.
