Do you need a degree to play Habbo now or am I just getting old?
I popped on yesterday for a few minutes to see if I knew anyone in HxHD and to see what it looked like. It was around 10 minutes before I figured out I had to do some safety quiz before I could talk to people. It used to be so simple!!! I don't like it!!
It's all this Channel 4 paedophile business, they've stepped up everything.
What happened like
I wasn't around for it, give "Channel 4 Habbo" a google and you'll get the jist. There was a 2 week hotel-wide mute I know that much.
basically channel 4 pretended to be an 11yo old girl and got solicited by someone so 'exposed' how everyone on the hotel is a paedo and sulake encourage cybering (totally exaggerated).Quote:

To be fair, I remember when I used to play. Habbo used to bang it into our heads not to add people on MSN ect... Its not Habbos fault. It's going to happen on any chat room you go into. It can't be helped.

It used to be sooo much worse, I remember often getting requests for cam while I was just playing innocently, and some people will think OMG FURNI and just do it without a second's thought, or even if people are curious about that (I actually know someone who got naked as a child on cam to an older man as she 'wanted to know what it would be like'). Habbo then started encouraging 'dating', bringing furni like tons more beds, not acting on sexual reports and even leaving 18+ beds beds beds room to hit 50 popularity every day.
