Hi,
I am buying a new desktop and it will be used for gaming and general useage such as facebook, hxf etc. So after much bugging of MattG asking what this is and what that does I have came up with the following:

Only thing I could suggest is a Coolermaster PSU, I've been running an 850W CM PSU for like the past 5 years now on the same machine? Never had any problems with it, think the warranty is solid and Coolermaster products in general are pretty solid. Good choice on the case (I've got Storm Scout!), may be getting the same Motherboard and similar processor to you in the future haha!
Your graphics card is decent too, could probably overclock that if you liked. :)

Also get a custom CPU cooler. This is the one I use, and my case is much smaller than yours. Only thing is it's a pretty damn big heat sink, can get it cheaper on Ebuyer but heres the link as Ebuyer doesn't have much info at all on it:

It is that processor indeed.
Your motherboard is compatible with that processor and also just worth mentioning, as you're getting a 660TI your mobo has PCI 3.0 enabled so you'll get much faster speeds. That processor will also take advantage of 3.0 as your previous processor did not. ^_^

'Decent case' is based on opinion. I doubt the case he wishes will be cheaper on there (by looks of it you can't buy specific parts just full system?)

I'd steer clear of SSDs for a little while, SSD speed increases have been stagnant for some time and I reckon as we enter the new year we might see something new cope of that. Caviar Black is a rip off though, you're basically paying £30 for the difference between a 3 year and a 5 year warranty. Any old 1TB 7200RPM HDD will be fine but you may as well go Caviar Blue or Seagate Barracuda.
The case is a bit iffy, it's main feature is that it can hold a ton of hard drives yet it does seem that you're not overly bothered by that. It'd make more sense to go for a case that's geared towards cable management instead.

Other than the hard drive choice (Seriously, why Caviar Green over Blue, the 32mb extra cache is FREE) and the solid state drive (It's write speeds are a pile of ****, Corsair Force 3 is faster and cheaper) this is a solid build.Quote:

Thanks everybody, I agree the case is pricey but I kinda have my heart set on it lol! Can somebody link me to the Blue version of the HDD posted above? I really don't want to buy an SSD just yet is it really necessary alongside a HDD?
It would be easiest to buy it now so you can run OS on it instead of having to re-install OS when you decide to buy it
