Just because you are on a 'diet' it doesn't mean it can't be a diet that is healthy and something that you can continue to do for the rest of your life! For example my usually day consists of 40g All Bran with 275ml semi-skimmed milk and a heck of a lot of fruit for breakfast, maybe some more fruit between breakfast and lunch then a jacket potato or omelette for lunch with a nice salad and pickles. I'd usually have a yoghurt after that with some more fruit and then I'd have like a frozen curly wurly or a few biscuits. Then whatever I fancy for dinner. Homemade meatballs with less than 5% fat content. Steak and homemade chips sprayed with frylight instead of oil with some seasoning of garlic powder, paprika etc. It's the little changes like that, that make the biggest difference!
I find the weeks that I eat more things like potatoes, pasta and when I generally eat a lot more food are the weeks I have lost between 4-7lbs! Then the weeks where I eat small portions and I don't treat myself to say a couple of rich tea biscuits in the evening with a cup of tea, they are the weeks that I only lose 1-2lbs or sometimes even STS!
Water is key but if you want something fizzy go for the diet drinks (my particular fav is diet cream soda). Also exercising will be your new best friend along the way. Just because you lose weight and are thin it doesn't mean you are healthy. You can have someone who exercises all the time and is a little overweight and they would be much healthier than a thinner person. Things such as Fartlek Training can be really good for burning off calories and swimming for toning purposes can be good! Cardio, gym, even just going for a walk so you are not on your bum all day will make you that little bit more healthier and will help you down the road!
I have been taught this over the past eight/nine months and it has done wonders for me! I have never felt so energized and as a result I'm losing weight healthily and at a steady pace!
