I didn't get it either.
I got one didn't bother to read it, could of signed my life away for all I know
Didn't get one when I signed in an hour or so ago. Might be there now idk.
i'll check it out next time i log in and out.
this is scary. im scared.
That's good an all but I would like to know what's been changed.
I don't know if this is new, it might have been in before, but Sulake basically saying they can get rid of your account if you haven't logged on for 180 days, or if Habbo closes:
WITHOUT LIMITATION, WE MAY TERMINATE YOUR LICENSE TO THE SERVICE OR OTHERWISE SUSPEND OR TERMINATE YOUR ACCOUNT AT ANY TIME WITH OR WITHOUT NOTICE TO YOU IF: (A) YOU BREACH THESE TERMS OR ANY APPLICABLE ADDITIONAL TERMS INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION THE HABBO WAY; (B) YOU HAVE NOT ACCESSED YOUR ACCOUNT FOR 180 DAYS; OR (C) IF THE SERVICE IS GOING TO BE SHUT DOWN OR MERGED WITH OTHER SITES AND/OR SERVICES. IN THESE SITUATIONS YOUR ACCOUNT LICENSE TO USE THE SERVICE OR A PART THEREOF WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY TERMINATED. IN SUCH EVENT, SULAKE SHALL NOT BE REQUIRED TO PROVIDE REFUNDS, BENEFITS OR OTHER COMPENSATION TO USERS IN CONNECTION WITH SUCH DISCONTINUED SERVICES. TERMINATION OF YOUR ACCOUNT CAN INCLUDE DISABLING YOUR ACCESS TO THE SERVICE OR ANY PART THEREOF INCLUDING ANY CONTENT YOU OR OTHERS SUBMITTED.
just clicked accept without even reading but i bet a lot of people did tbh
Tbh who reads the terms and conditions :S
Will
I got it today, anyone know any of the major changes? I had a quick glance and couldn't find any major differences.
So they could effectively shut habbo hotel down one day and that would be it? :blue_shoc
They seem to have rewritten* quite a lot of the Terms of Service (since I last checked it anyway :P), and they also seemed to have stopped making about 5 different ones that vary on location (afaik).

1.3, 1.5 and 1.10 seem to be interesting - especially the arbitration section. I also never realised that this appears in some T&Cs:
Quote:
"due to unforeseen circumstances or cause beyond Sulake’s control such as acts of God,"
Act of God is a legal term for a natural disaster. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Act_of_God
I got it, always click agree and continue, probably signed my life away a few times already.
So if you don't access your ID in 180 days - will everything have been deleted!? Does anyone know if it is it 180 days starting today, or lets say if accounts were on their 100th day of inactivity now - would it be 80 days from today?
If so, there will be a mass exodus of old accounts :P
That part about accounts being deleted after 180 days doesn't mean they're going to start deleting all accounts which haven't signed in for 6 months :P It just means that they have a right to delete an account if it has been inactive for that amount of time - i.e. you can't sue Sulake if they do delete your account for that reason.
I doubt a mass deletion will occur anytime soon.
Hmm this is interesting, the bit about not logging in for 180 days.. I logged into one of my accounts there last week which hadn't logged in for 6-7months, still there luckily. :P
Same with anything, surely?
Natural Disasters :P. And it all seems too long for me to read right now, but what was interesting in the others :P? Just curious xD.
It's just that they have the right to do so, so like when you here of name clearouts, people can't go and complain about their account being deleted because it's in the ToS :P.
I agreed but forgot to read them.
I only found 1.5 interesting because it's the first time I've seen a very detailed version of the 'Habbo Way' in the ToS, in one 'clear' place :P
The other 2 were just fairly interesting to read (for some reason) - 1.3 was about user generated content and 1.10 was about arbitration (I found that interesting because I only covered it in law recently and it's nice to see an example of it in a contract).
They seem to have changed their privacy policy as well, idk what's different in there though.
I got this. Anyone bother to read it?
Technically these sort of semi-contracts become void if a child accepts it even if not knowing what it means (in Australia anyway). However I accepted :P
What has changed? I remember I browsed thought it before and noticed when the help tool got hacked, they added in that they were not responsible if any of you private information got stolen lmao typical
