Sonic Boom heard across 3 English counties

I heard this myself, was quite loud

I've heard jets/older jets fly overhead before and they are amazingly loud - take that from somebody who has helicopters constantly hovering over his house during the Aintree Races. :P

Didn't hear this but tbh I half wished I did :o

Always hear jets going off etc when at my nans as she lives in lincolnshire, so there's always really cool planes going over!!

I think you didn't hear it because it was a few hundred miles south of you? :P

I hear jets quite a bit but I bet it was really loud especially if it managed to smash windows!

I didn't hear it, but you tend not to even hear the door open with my turtle beaches on.

Same but wouldn't want my windows smashed! I bet it was quite an event to hear it :P

When you hear a Sonic Boom you know something serious is happening. I saw this on reddit when a load of users were asking if anyone else heard a weird noise. It took quite a while for any notification, but lots of experts said it must of been a Typhoon or another fighter jet.

Interesting fact: if any of your property is damaged when a fighter jet that is the property of the Military of Defence breaks the sound barrier, they have to compensate you for the damage and are quite happy to.
