I don't think she's entirely wrong. I certainly think it highlights middle class social capital and how they use subtle techniques to give their children the best advantage because they know the system inside out. Despite that, don't think you can judge a child for it. I think she was saying that sometimes you can guess from a name if it's popular in certain groups their type of background - so more judging the parents - but after that, it's making assumptions because a child doesn't necessarily have to conform to their background. That whole middle class parents asking where they're from thing sounds familiar, there definitely is competition between parents but saying child x shouldn't play with child y is taking it too far.

I loved the bit when they mentioned her own daughter's name, and the end is priceless -- her face gets me every time.
But I agree with her to an extent. I would initially judge someone on their name if I knew nothing else about them, but I wouldn't stay prejudice and not get to know them. Obviously that would be absurd.
Example; posh names such as Edwin, Maximilian or Sebastian will always make me think of a nerd, and it's been true in my life thus far.
