here here
Because variety is not Habbox Events' strong point lol.
How many feedback threads does it take before you actually realise people are genuinely sick and tired of practically every game that involves a ******* dice.
A lot of hosts (myself included) prefer luck games as there is no wayyou can be accused of rigging. It also provides a fairer chance to those people who maybe don't play Habbo so much, and are usually better attended, in general, in my experience.
There has been a massive range of events during HxSS, including new ones, and almost every single event is complained about. I think the biggest part though is the accusations of rigging and general fairness, which events such as telephrase, ff, the mole.... don't bring.
it's not just during hxss though
I can't say I've ever noticed a massive amount of dice games normally, I know before HxSS begun there was a massive range and I was actually very impressed.
A lot of people seem to like Bingo, and it was maybe hosted once or twice a day, but that's also because it's a very easy and popular event to host & play..
Yeah I complained loads about it before hxss and nothing changed. Most of the times luck outweighs skill which is wrong as a balance should be achieved,,, id even go as far to say that skill should be higher as I'm sure someone @FlyingJesus; @Inkwell; i really dont know im guessing) posted a thread askin forum members to name their fav event and really crap luck ones didn't come up.
calm down
whats the point in a game with no skill required
i haven't hosted a dice event since i came back because i don't own any dices lol
pacman is really fun
more events like that plz
dice events are the worst events you can host because there's hardly any hosting involved imo. i prefer to host events that are more varied and actually make you put a little more effort into them but i don't think i can say the same for everyone in the events department, and it's a shame too because i reckon more people would end up turning up to events, especially if it's something original or wired. but yeah it's quite a hard thing to monitor when you're in management because threads have been made about the lack of variety and although i would say it's improved quite a bit there's still some work that needs to be done. i just hope it doesn't get to the stage where you would have to start giving warnings to people who don't vary there events because that would be rather silly
i'm gonna try and work on something different for a weekly event when hxss is over too so keep ur eyes peeled
Feel free to suggest actual ideas about how to get people hosting more variety without turning into some dictator over what is still a job where you volunteer. I'm sure they'd be willing to listen to ideas.
bingo ftw
I hate dice events... As I've said many times I'd love events that actually promote skill - but frankly it seems most event organisers don't like to have games that involve a lot of hosting...
I would just like to point out that I would be bloody terrified of hosting any kind of quiz in events. I've hosted SNQ enough times to know that some people can be downright horrible when they get competitive and some will even go as far to argue that black is white just so they can have a point. Although I'm much better at quizzes and things, I'm siding with EOs here as SNQ is never ever a fun thing to host so I know what it's like for them.
well im happy you dnt host fridge game all the time, its actually a very rare occasion u do but there are plenty of games u can make, u can play black hole more often, imagine a massive scale black hole how fun!!! u can host snake, thats only hosted on very rare occasions, u can actually host trivia instead of these gk stupid things (yh i know outside of hxss trivia was actually quite common /w bkps hosting it i think)
i actually hate fridge games or dont roll a 6, so many times you just end up winning because you're sitting at the bottom
it should be everyone rolls in the round
cos otherwise people at the bottom just win
Apparently asking simple GK questions is a bad quiz
and also asking really hard ones is a bad quiz
it's like, impossible to hold a GK quiz without someone complaining and that's why people don't do it
The only issue I have with quizzes is the Habbo/Habbox questions, since that isn't general knowledge - that's quite specific knowledge :P

An easy way around this would be to let everyone have a go each round, so if it's down to the final 2 and the first player is out, the 2nd player must stay in. A bit like a penalty shootout in football.
It doesn't encourage people to use Habbox in the 2 seconds you have before somebody gets the answer. Myself, and many others just go 'Lol, Habbox question. No chance.'
Or you just have Samanfa on copy and paste since I'm pretty sure she's had nearly every single position at some point :P
and today there is a lack of events
SORT IT OUT HABBOX ITS MEANT TO BE HXSS
I was thinking about hosting different games, or adapting them more to HxSS. One of them I was thinking of was Simon Says, but instead make it a little different, make it the first to do it gets the point instead of stumbling when you don't say Simon Says.
I did have event ideas which I might put into practice soon, but I've currently forgot what they were.
i liked odeys ship game with dice. 1 of best events i seen!
grahams wired obstacle course was obviously flaw-free!
Oh for christ can we not have another colour debate.
but yh where have the events been 2day???
the 1s i have seen have been tragic aint nobody got time for dont pick a carrot. i got into 2 of the 3 games of dont pick a carrot and both times picked a carrot 1st go and went str8 out
ITS ANNOYING
there have also been like no on air comps where am i supposed to get my points from???
I meant it's attended by more Habbox people. If you're winning then stop moaning for the sake of it? Not many outsiders are even at the SNQs, so I really don't see why it's a problem. Even in events it's not a HABBOX quiz, if you go to a HABBOX event you kind of expect there to be an element of HABBOX about it, surely?
