I doubt Habbo themselves care, just the users who are desperate for badges (such as me).
Although getting their point across, I doubt this 'blackout' will do anything major to make anyone change their ways. Habbo will probably just label it childish and as its for 5 days and not for a lengthy period of time, it will all be forgotten about come this time next week.
I actually think it's immature, Habbo really won't care and people are just going to look elsewhere for how to get badges. I don't think Habbo would want people on their fansite team who do a blackout when they don't get their way as it's so childish, they want people who are involved in the Habbo community.
I really hope they don't become official. All they're really about is revealing answers to things and secrets to things as far as I'm aware.
You'd be annoyed if you spent effort into producing answers for the Habbo community to get labelled as 'just a cheat sheet' and 'not worthy' by Sulake management. Then whilst there's you unofficial, free hosting sites (tumblrs.. yes!) come along and get official just from posting one piece of news and sucking up to powertoo. You'll understand when the new fansites are revealed.
I agree with you to be honest. I think what HabboSecrets is doing won't make much effect but they do deserve to become official. Although, things like this could make Habbo even more less likely to accept you next time...Quote:

I will make serious judgement after review of the new official fansites when they are notified to the public but at the moment I think this is immature and don't see why HS needs official status to keep on with their obviously high level of success.

I personally don't think Sulake will listen or care that much about the blackout but I might be wrong. At the end of the day they can actually stop supporting any sort of fansite and force us all to remove any of their content. So it's up to them if they want to allow or block a specific fansite from becoming official. I don't know the full story behind the "ban" but there must be a reason somewhere.
I would have thought that HabboSecrets would be granted official fansite status tbh. Must be specific criteria?
But yeah Sulake won't care that some kids have thrown a strop and put their site into blackout. They're the only ones losing out.

Okk so it's wonderful they provide answers to the community for how to complete quests etc... what else do they do? 90% sure they:
- Don't have any kind of forum
- Don't have a radio
- Don't actively host in-client events
etc. I'm ngl, if it wasn't for HabboxForum I wouldn't know about the goddamn site because their presence on Habbo is practically non-existent minus the odd person screaming to check out habbosecrets for tips.
Tumblr sites are awful too yes, but I don't support them being official and I suspect powertoo has reasoning behind it.
The site has a radio, and does regularly host in-client events (quests, mazes and wired games) to earn points and badges for their onsite profile aswell as credits when you reach a certain score. Theres a strong community on there, and that's one thing powertoo thinks we don't have.Quote:

I have never seen any events appear in the navigator though, fair dos if they actually do host them but their presence still isn't that strong as opposed to Habbox/HFFM/HCrazy/HFest now it seems :sQuote:

I think Vado is acting very childish. Although one thing I will say is that the 5 sites that have been put forward. None are spectacular and aren't as well used as Habbosecrets (and the current official sites). Vado is a self centred nasty piece of work. It's all about him. You can tell that in the graphics Puhekupla (or w/e) used for their featured weekend.

If I were a staff member, someone whining and arguing when their fansite didn't gain official status would only firm up my decision to reject them.
