There was no one suitable for technology or feedback so to avoid giving it to the same people over and over again we decided to skip it this month.

So after seeing Chris' post about not awarding it to the same people, I had a look at who had won it. That lead me to look at the staff of the month threads, and @lawrawrrr; and @Samanfa; have won Staff of the Month 6 times between them in the last 3 months. That's pretty impressive.

7 times, I was SOTM for News in September, but it was in the middle of my promotion and Myke wasn't informed about it.

As a general rule, staff shouldn't win it more than 2 months in a row for the same department. I believe I won it at least twice in a row for Graphics, only because it would have been grossly unfair to award it to others considering the work I did. Just means we're hard workers, your post seemed quite negative against us!

Wait so for the entirety of October there was supposedly no-one making enough of an impact in feedback despite 14 threads in the month including 6 extremely active discussions with a multitude of opinions offered and suggestions put forward? I know managers seem to hate actually reading feedback (let alone taking note of any of it or heaven forbid implementing necessary changes) but it's absurd to say that no-one was suitable for an award in all of that. Not allowing people to get MOTM twice in a row is stupid anyway; if someone does a good job you should reward them rather than punish them for being consistent

I would say that winning twice in a row should be a last resort if there really is no one else who could win it. However, I do think there was definitely at least a few people who could have been nominated for feedback because, as you mentioned, there was quite a lot of discussion. Having said that, most of that came from the reputation/like thread which the forum department claim won't change anyway so that probably wasn't considered :S idk.

Won three times in the past few months in General and Entertainment - until then I had never won despite being on the forum for years. Indeed I was told by somebody (a staff member) a few years ago in the moderation department that other staff members kept blocking me winning because they didn't agree with some of my political views. So I view this winning streak i've had in the past 6 months odd as just rewards for years of posting and being denied the chance to win. :P

Well done to the others who won too anyway.

I don't disagree with you winning every other month, your quality of posts is very good compared to the majority of forum members, your political views clearly shouldn't have any impact on that... My point mainly was that I'm sure there was at least one person that could have won for Feedback, even if the 'You can't win if you won the month before' rule is put into place :P
