True Romance was an awesome movie, I loved it. It was written by Quentin Tarantino so come on what's not to love? It was great cause it had everything, a bit of action and for those who like romance in their movies it had that too. Has anyone else seen this movie?
If you haven't I reccomend watching it.
yeh, that movie rocked. and if ur gonna buy it, buy the directors cut. the scene with patricia arquette and james gandolfini is extended!!
I love movies about *cough*women of ill repute*cough*... the censor blocks the word I would've said.
But yah... very good movie. Tarintino sold this script to pay for "Resavoir Dogs". And I'm under contract to not ever say a bad thing about a movie with Christopher Walken in it.

I was just saying that Tarantino got the money to make RD from selling his script of "True Romance". The director of "True Romance" changed a lot of what Tarantino wrote (the ending mostly) though and Tarantino wasn't happy with the end result.

It kinda sounded like you didn't like reservoir dogs. It sounded like you were being forced to say it was good, cause of the whole contract thing you got goin on.
the speech between him and dennis hopper is one of the best moments ever in cinema. Tarantino earned some other money aswell after selling another script (not sure if it was b4 or after reservoir dogs) for a film which was later re-written and directed by oliver stone. NATURAL BORN KILLERS. <-- loved that film...
Never saw that movie, but I hear it's great.

True Romance is a classic! Along with Reservoir Dogs, Pilp Fiction, Jackie Brown (aka Rum Punch by Elmore Leonard) and the Kill Bill movies. Kaut's quite right in that True Romance was Tarantino's first screenplay, but failing for some time to gather a sufficient budget to make it, he sold it to Tony Scott (brother or Ridley Scott - Alien, Gladiator etc etc) and wrote, directed and starred in Reservoir Dogs. Here comes the trivia. Tony Scott eventually made True Romance after Pulp Fiction, with the Tarantino wrote this (which I have nothing against front. Of course from Quentin's latest successes, it was a great hit.
Now Tarantino then went on to write the screenplay for Dusk 'till Dawn, directed by writer/director Robert Rodrigez (El Mariachi, Desperado, Once Upon A Time In Mexico) but Tarantino wrote the screenplay based on a novel by a guy who's name I cannot recall. This guy had done the makeup for Reservoir Dogs on the agreement that Tarantino wrote his screenplay, and so he did, as awell as going on to star as one of the two main characters alongside George Clooney. Qentin also went on to make Natural Born Killers with Oliver Stone, one of the main characters being Juliette Lewis from Dusk 'till Dawn, alongside Woody Harleson, who abandonned his naieve nice guy role from the TV show Cheers to become just as the name of the movie suggests... A natural born killer.
Now Where is this all leading... Oh yes, Four Rooms... Anyone seen it?? It's a brilliant concept. based around this busboy in a hotel - Tim Roth of Reservoir Dogs (Mr. Pink) and Pulp Fiction (Pumpkin / Ringo) and the film is split into these four quarters, or, the four rooms. Each room harbours it's own little surprise and story, and each quarter is written and directed bny a different writer/director. Aliason Anders, Alexandre Rockwell, Robert Rodrigez Quentin Tarantino. Rodrigez also brings Antonio Banderas (Desperado, Once Upon A Time IN Mexico) onto the scene. And the rest is history. If you haven't seen it, I advise that you do. It's pure genius!!

besides those two segmeants the rest of the movie was pretty much a waste... I can only remember the Madonna one.

Four rooms was a good movie, really wierd though. Tarantinos room was the best one
The room with the miss behaviours was good too, I didnt like it the first time but the second time around I liked it
