This guy was being horrible to a girl in a room I was in and then he called her a "down syndrome waste of space" so at this point I reported him for bullying and was told that the reporting system was only for "genuine abuse" erm what?
I know this is moderated by guardians aka other habbo's but its still not very good there are loads of people on habbo who are disgusting to others and its probably made worse by the fact that they know they can get away with it!
Well that's good he's on the forum mabye he can explain why he was bullying that girl then, I admit she was a bit dim but he was vulgar.

Pretty sure they don't..
They used to be there and you'd be able to call them or specifically a mod, but pretty sure that went with the C4 Scandal

No the Guardian tool is still there, just not as widely used.

I think I'm the only proper guardian at the moment lol. Others let people get away with things if they've done something, then others make someone that's done nothing seem bad :l...

That is a response from a moderator and not guardians. You should submit that screenshot along with time stamp and room ID to the help tool.
Clearly the moderator needs immediate retraining and Sulake shouldn't allow this to happen after the blunder they have been through the past few years.

My thoughts entirely, the reply was from a moderator as Guardians can't send that message they send a different one if the majority of them voted it as a false report. Often now bullying reports automatically get forwarded to a MOD as either the guardians voted the report as very bad, or there aren't enough of them on. I agree, you should use the helstool to discuss this, as I recently console messaged Powertoo about something like this recently and I was surprised that she was interested and asked for the time of the report

Whenever I get a help request I like to ask if the user is older than 13. It's nice getting someone underage banned when they admit they're not.
lol not a surprise he's a charmer here on the forum too

Over the last 2 years or so, moderation has been awful.
It took me like 3 weeks to get a reply off habbo for some credits that weren't delivered to my account, and still haven't been. £10's worth, that is.
They need to stop hoarding pennies and hire some decent moderators who can do a job, and/or get rid of this guardian system that's practically not done anything since it's been in tact.

I think moderation is done exclusively by guardians now. It's another way for them to save money.
Also, I'm pretty sure they don't give out bans for bullying anymore. I think the maximum you might get is a mute for a day or two. But that's it. I haven't been banned for quite some time, but I seem to get muted at least once every two days.

So if you see someone shot but they don't shoot you thats ok yeh?
I think I was bothered because i'm a decent person and your right if it was me he was directing it at I probably wouldn't have reported him but that poor girl did nothing to deserve what he said to her and no offense you weren't there she was upset by it. If you think it's alright the way he was speaking to her then I pity you.

I've had this happen to me where they say I'm miss using the help thing or where they end up muting me when i repeat what they're saying in the help tool thing, instead of the other person who's actually bullying

Well to be quite honest no i wouldnt be bothered because i wasnt the one who was shot. Obviously id feel pity for them but still id be thinking how lucky i was.
But as you know i wasnt talking about real life, i was talking about online. I want to know why the girl was offended after being called:
1. Downsyndrome (which she most probably isnt so why would she be offended by that)
2. An idiot (who even gets offended by that in real life)
This was probably the reason why the problem was dismissed by moderators or guardians. I know the system isnt that great but it has improved since this time last year and im sure if it was that much of an issue they would take action.

Well I'm assuming she would be offended because he was using the term in a derogatory manner? Tell me what would you classify as an example of bullying on habbo which is reportable? What extent does someone have to go to towards another user before you deem it appropriate for them to be called a bully?

yes, the moderation is terrible.
yes, the guardian system is terrible.
yes, unfair bans and mutes are terrible.
but what can we do about it?

Nothing because its been proven time and time again Habbo does not listen to consumer demands. If Habbo were to put a poll up in the welcome lounge today about bringing back diving 99% would say yes to wanting it back. It'll never happen though because Habbo is laazy and uses excuses.

Habbo moderation sucks now; it's pretty much non existant, like the customer support part

I think there should just be a sub forum for all the I HATE THE MODERATORS threads.

Before I go on, this is a completely void point. Someone dying from a shot wound is completely different to someone getting called names on an internet site. Thats like me saying I fought to get this pizza wrapper off, like the soldiers fight for us in Afghanistan. But yes, I do get your drift.
My points are simple in any of these threads:
- We need English moderators
- We need capable staff members and maybe a revamp on the guardian scheme
Overall though, I agree with @myles;. People just use anything anybody says these days and brands it under 'Bullying', Unlike real bullying you can turn them off/ignore/delete etc. People just have to take the bull by the horns and rise above it. If you react and start all the 'UR SO HORRIBLE IM GOING TO REPORT YOU, YOU IDIOT' lark then they will carry on.
Don't fully ignore them, just respond like you're agreeing with them (if you're the one in the firing line). When they don't get their kick from annoying people they move to someone else. Just don't react and throw your pixels out the pram.

Yeah, the moderation on Habbo isn't that good anymore. They need to majorly revamp the guardian system.

Are you actually telling people to agree with the bullies just to avoid bullying? How is that going to help? Bullying is bullying and should be taken seriously especially on a website which is targeted for children

Nice way to twist it straight out of meaning. If you say something like "Yeah, ok" then it sends a message that you won't play their sick games. Its a hell of a lot better than reacting to them and causing them to do it even more.
If you react to a bully = You get bullied more
If you ignore a bully = You get bullied till you react
If you report a bully = They get muted/banned go on another account and continue regardless
If you shoot words back at a bully = You're now a bully
You can't win anyway, I'd rather wuss out from a situation and not get upset in the future?
As much as Habbo is targeted at a teenage demographic people have to realise that sometimes you will get called names, there is no way to stop bullying. If someone gets banned, they go on another login and do it even more.
I'm talking about proper bullying, not trolls saying a couple of comments while you're in a game room. From experiences it worked for me..

It's Habbo though, I don't see why people care so much what others say. That being said, I'm detatched from all the different "Habbo communities" now compared to 14/15, where in certain situations stuff like that did bother me/get annoying.
