A few people have commented in client now how they are always seeing the same names pop up when competition winners are announced.
For general discussion do you think:
(I) there is unfair bias in winner selection for staff favourites or
(II) do you think these people that continuously win competitions are just in an elite pool of people who create top noch entries to various things or
(III) is it a mix of both?
Thoughts?
(III) is it a mix of both (I 70% and II 30%).
A certain name wins every competition without fail, yet they seem not the type who would when it comes to it in-client. I think staff deliberately keep away from people they interact with in client to show that they're not being biased.
Is that the Hawaii person or someone else? I swear he has won every competition since P2 and others took over maybe even before that. I see a lot of familiar names repeatedly but not sure who else has won everythingQuote:

Jake used to always win competitions, Not sure about now. But I've noticed this in the past. They should not allow the same people to monopoly them, it's unfair.

Well if somebody is winning the same type of competition over and over, it generally means they are good at that specific topic. Most people won't just create a winning room then never win again. Same with writing etc.
I guess if the competition is to create a fantastic room you have to have the credits to buy the furni you're gonna need. So I assume there are lots of great room builders out there who can never win because they don't have the money. I suppose that's a form of favouritism in itself?
(II) I don't believe that this is due to staff bias, that doesn't seem to happen as much with the current staff compared to Habbo UK etc. I think the reason you get the same people winning over and over is that they are a bit addicted, and will put a lot of time into their entries.
Habbo UK never had biased judging IMO, the winners were normally really good and had much higher standards than the winners today. I'm sure many others will agree with this.

Yeah maybe ludus a little, but sometimes he was legit. He was really annoying but he was probably the only person to be so casual and not avoid things. He argued and hated me for a long time and still gave me prizes truthfully.Quote:

As for competition winners, maybe the people who win again and again just submit good entries. And maybe they don't have many other entries to even choose from?

yeah i see the same names pop up every time. i see lolcatthetiny a lot, and i think the hawaii guy also wins a lot. and the thing is, most of the time that the same names pop up, their entry usually isn't that good.
