I prefer 24 hour time.
I really dislike the way 12 hour time works, it's just weird to me.

I prefer 24 hour time.

i prefer 24 hour time
I don't mind both easy to understand
24 hour time, no confusion
12 hour wtf 24 hour one confuses me
like whats 17:30?? takes me a moment to find out
24 hr time but I bloody kid you not some like 17 or 18 year old had to ask me what 17:00 was in 12 hour time format and I've met someone who had a girl in her class that couldnt read 12 hour clocks on the wall omf.
I hate 12 hour lol. I mean what's with midnight being am and noon being pm
To convert 12 hour time to 24 hour, add what time it is, e.g. 5:30pm onto 12. It equals 17:30. That means 5:30pm is 17:30. When it comes to 00:00 to 12:00, you don't need to make any changes. Oh and 24:00 / 0:00 is basically the same.
Overall, 24 hour time is a lot more logical.
12 hour, I can read 24 hour time easily but I wouldn't write it like that ever. 12 hour is way simpler and practical.
this thread would be better asking what type you use on your phone/laptop as I don't have a preference.... but use 24 hour on all devices
Both are easily understandable, but I prefer 24 hour a whole lot more.
It's more helpful when being a hermit and 12 hour just looks... childish? to me.
12 hour..
is it bad that I still have to work out times on my fingers? Like 16:00 is 4 numbers after 12:00, so therefore it's 4pm. Haha silly me
EVERYTIME I SEE 15:00 I THINK ITS 5 PM its the only one i mistake stupid brain
but i do prefer 24 hr
I don't really mind that much. If I were to pick I would probably pick 24 hours.
I prefer 24 hours as it's just easiest for me now. I still have trouble reading 12 hour clocks ngl lmao
More likely to use 24 if it's like planning something in the future or writing on something official but if it's the afternoon already and I say to someone conversationally that we're going out at 8 I won't be like LEAVING AT TWENTY HUNDRED HOURS because I'm not a bell
We use 24hours in Brazil, but I prefer 12hours.
I always use the 24 hour clocks :) And I'm shocked that so many people have an issue with telling the time from a clock face - I never really considered people could have an issue with that until Joey Essex popped up...
I generally prefer 12 hour, but i always find the am and pm thing really confusing for midday and midnight like surely midday should be 12am not 12pm ;L but i always start getting confused with 24 hour, but only for 2 times really, call 15;00 5pm and 20:00 10pm lool but not the other ones?
The terms am and pm mean ante meridiem (before noon) and post meridiem (after noon). 12:01pm has pm, since it is 1 minute after noon. It would be strange if you gave midday as 12am, because time would go 12am, 12:01pm. So midday is denoted 12pm, meaning midnight is 12am. Technically though, the terms am and pm are irrelevant to midday and midnight, since neither are 'before' or 'after' - which is why the 24 hour clock is better as it gets rid of ambiguity. Because we have 00:00, 12:00 and then 23:59 rolls back to 00:00.
depends really
when im speaking to people i like them using 12 hour like skype and stuff but i prefer my alarm clocks being in 24hour
i used to only have a 12 hour one and i used to always sleep in the afternoon and sometimes i'd wake up at 7 but i wouldnt know if its 7am or 7pm so i'd get all panicky then open my blinds and it'd be dark so i would be like o
so if im typing to osmeone on facebook/skype i think 12hr is easier lmao if its my alarm clock then i prefer 24hour
12 hour time
I completely prefer 12 hour time. its just easier but i do know 24 hour and i can look and be like 15:17 o its 3:17. I think its because we generally say it in 12 hour format rather than 24. Like if someone asked me the time i wouldnt say 1500. id say 3oclock! ahah! xD
I prefer the 24 hour clock because it's what I'm most used to.
24 hour clock as that is what I am used to using.
24 hour time
12-hour time.
i don't really mind either, but i use 24 hour mostly but if im meeting up with someone i'll use 12 hour time. i know the 24 hour one off by heart, but sometimes for a little bit of reassurance i will just take two away from the number e.g. 16:00 - 2 = 14:00 and i take the second number, always done it like that
12 hour mostly because i'm used to it
I prefer 12 hour time
12 more, 24 hour confuses the hell outta me
