Today marks the second day of lent 2014
I assume very few people on here follow many religious teachings but giving things up for lent seems to be a custom that in my experience transcends religious belief. Is anybody partaking in lenten fast this year or giving up any of their vices?
Even if you're not... Is there anything that you feel you could not possibly live without for 40 days? Is there anything you'd like to try giving up?
Started giving up fizzy drinks yday :P I'd already eaten chocolate by the time I'd realised it was lent so that was that out of the window.
I don't bother with it, I imagine I could live without Uni for 40 days.
I couldn't go without the internet now.
I would try giving up chocolate and sweet things, but I never bother because I know I wouldn't last a day. :p
Normally I participate in Lent, but this year I haven't and I feel so bad :(

Can I give up maths for lent? Might fail my degree if I do :P
I don't bother, though I did once give up chocolate, maybe when I was 13. And succeeded without chocolate for the whole 40 days!
I used to always take part when I was younger, but I'm not sure if I ever went through with it all? I used to go for things that I rarely ate tho like crisps ha :P Don't bother taking part in it anymore.
i've got nothing i need to give up, I still see it as something quite religious and to be honest with you, i'd be **** at it!

This year, for lent, I have given up fast food, and let's be honest; It's been real hard for me. Haha! (I love fries...)
