No, did is when you're speaking about a specific point (e.g. I did that yesterday) done is just at any point in your life until now (e.g. I have done that), I'm pretty sure

Cycled 15 miles straight out to work.

Now I do it there and back and it seems so much easier.

dno, i haven't really done anything recently that makes me proud of myself or surprises me

Getting on my own two feet with a stable job, a good car, and a girl that I'm interested in, that's pretty cool.

err most things i do surprise me because i dont think much of myself so i;ll do something simple and be like omg bobba i did did that and just be really shocked

i keep getting good grades on my reports home and that shocks me so yeah that getting decent grades

for the purpose of this thread title it would be HAVE done not HAD done

i made it to platinum 2 on league of legends that was surprising
finished a 2.5k essay within just a few hours to an acceptable level

Erm, when my brothers gf was pregnant my moms bf was drunk and threw something at her, and for whatever reason it really ticked me off so I just dashed out at him, nearly pissed myself in the process

I didn't directly do it, but I got the diligence award in grade 9... still to this day I'm wondering what for. :O

Became a school teacher and falling in love with all my kids. I was scared of kids before and now? I just can't have enough dose of them <3
