On July 2, the unedited vocal version of Spears' track "Alien," off of her most recent album, "Britney Jean," leaked. As the video picked up steam, track producer William Orbit posted a statement Monday, July 7, explaining that the track is a vocal warm-up session, not Spears' final take.

Why are people so bothered about hearing songs before they're finished properly do you also try to find videos of CGI films before the editing and pictures of unpainted cars

ok finally actually hard it so i know what we're talking about. the CNN news pretty much summed it up for me. you wouldn't believe the amount of singers that are actually worse than that clip that's been leaked, the difference is theirs hasn't been leaked so there isn't a big deal bout them. think it's always been obvious that britney is an artist that uses autotune, you can pretty much tell in every song it's been enhanced... it was never a massive secret that she uses it so idk why everyone is SO shocked now lol. i think britney is more of an entertainer, than a singer. shes obv still doing something right if she lasted this long. the end of the day she's still selling plenty of ecords n still one of the biggest names out there i cant see why people care its still HER voice. even she can have an OFF DAY for gods sake

That was pretty woeful. Her voice seems to have really deteriorated.

There's a bit of a difference. With a film you know the effects are effects but you'd be shocked if you discovered an actor couldn't act for real and it was just edited so it looked like they could.

Regardless of the video, a good singer in my opinion is someone who can sing without needing anything such as computer effects.

Are people not aware that music is produced with a lot of artistry rather than being a live singer appearing inside the speakers every time you listen to them

It's Britney Spears... She's always been around. She had about 3 number ones in the past three years, a world tour, 2 albums and now a Vegas residency yet you haven't heard about her? Get a grip.

Wow calm down, I wasn't rude. Just saying I haven't heard much from her. I'm not a fan nor am I obsessed enough to be part of the Britney Army...

The song is still great and her singing without effects is still good, I don't know what to say about this one though, but she is still going solid regardless of what people think of her.
