It depends.
For your above example I obviously would, but for other things maybe not.

Depends who I'm stealing from, really.
It would depend what law I am breaking as some laws have basis in principles/morality where as others don't and should purposely be broken for being absurd.
If the odds were greatly in my favour and I was somewhat desperate, probably.

Nothing wrong with stealing from the rich to give to the poor though! The rich don't mind tax evasion etc, so why not.
Depends how bad the situation got and how serious the crime would be. The idea would definitely pop up though.
