what would you rather have a kindle or books?
i really prefer to read from a book
prefer to read books but ebooks can be more practical
I read my manga on my ipad though cause it's too expensive to buy them :P
Never owned a kindle or e-book tbh :P. I've always used paper books.
There are some books online (pdf) that I've tried to read but I just hate reading them online idk why
A book but kindles seem so handy for taking out and about. I would like one to take with me for holidays and stuff.
I find it really difficult to read off of a screen, so books 100%. If I have essays to write, I often print out the readings I need, because I just can't read it off the screen.
I've had my Kindle paperwhite for a few years now and it's one of my favourite gadgets! It took a while to get used to it in the beginning because the reading experience is just not the same as reading from a book, but I've now come to love it a lot and the pros definitely outweigh the cons for me.
Books just because they smell nice.
Nothing like a good old book
Reading a book is just so satisfying, when you get to that last page and you close it it's like a nice little moment (only me?). I have a kindle tho and use that as it's just so practical, it fits in my bag and pocket.
I definitely prefer reading a book but if I have been waiting a while for a book to come out I will buy it on my kindle as soon as it comes out because I am too impatient and can't wait until I go to a shop
books no question. more personality in a book than a screen.
Books, there's nothing like that new book smell.
I find something nice about coming off a screen and reading an actual book.
Kindles are WAY better than books. Easy to ready on, estimated times, lightweight, battery last ages, can store thousands of books, takes up no physical space. No brainer.
Books. I just love the feel of books
i prefer physical copies of books, i have never read an ebook before.

I love the feel of a book, but I have a few books on my iPad now as they're so expensive to buy and so handy to have on it.
Books, I love having books, they remain as an achievement for what I've read :P
Plus my life goals include having one of the bookshelf walls full of really old, leather-bound books. *drool face*
I prefer books. I rly love the smell of new books idk
I have a Kindle though and I use it when I go on holiday. I can read 1 book a day so it's so much easier to carry my kindle than 6-7 books.
I would prefer a book as I don't have a kindle, but for those busy mornings on the tube having a kindle really wouldn't be a bad idea
Depends, I have a kindle and use it sometimes but it's often nice to pick up a real book instead :P
I like books a lot but I know my mother loveesss her Kindle.
She has always been a massive reader and since her Kindle, I see less books around the house but I think she still reads actual books but prefers her Kindle.
I don't read all that much but I always find myself uncomfortable when reading. It's impossible to find the perfect spot, especially when you're tired with aching arms. Then you have to turn the page! Eugh! I find a Kindle makes it a bit better. Problem with a Kindle is if you download a book you need for an assignment because you haven't got 3 days to get it delivered by Amazon before your deadline, then the page numbers can be off or non-existent which makes referencing problematic. I had to Google for ages to be sure I had the correct pages for my quotes.
I read books to get away from the internet/technology for a little while and so like I'd definitely chose a book over the kindle!
physical books because:
- you can smell the good/addicting smell of ink/paper and I think it gets better as time goes
- also, the texture of a special physical cover/paper is a bonus
- reading it is healthier for our retines as it absorbs light instead of generating it, therefore our brain can retain the texts more easily and thoroughly
- you do not view the sin from limited bitmap pixels if you view the images/words closer
- it somehow helps you to decorate your room
- if an hypothetical person robs you, they only take 1 book, not your WHOLE library
It depends on what kind of experience you're looking for. If you need something easily accessible and on the go, kindle would be the one. If you want something real, touchable, flippable, book would be your choice.
As for me, I just love the smell of book. Flipping pages to pages and that's what makes me fall in love with reading.
