About 15 years ago my parents bought a packet of chewy sweets from Lidl and I found a bent paper clip in the centre of one of the sweets. We got a free bag of sweets when we complained.

And my mum found a cockroach in a McDonald's burger once...
Fly in food is kinda common, not necessarily of fault of the establishment either. I once had a snail in my salad.
Can't think of anything.
Although I did once put my cup of tea down outside on the table, was about to walk away but saw something splash in it... poured the tea out and it was bird poo at the bottom of the cup. A lucky escape if you ask me there.

Surely that is the fault of the establishment though for having a fly in the dining area? But alas I probably agree with you, I imagine you couldn't do anything with outside diners either really.
I hate grisle in pies that you bite down on and it feels like you've just broken your teef.
