habbox fansite weekend

i havent attempted the event yet but judging from the guide on habboquests, its another pathetic event. 5 telephrase(?) questions?? what??

can u put in some more effort into the events. ik fansites shouldnt be focusing entirely on their official events because its just an added perk, but still i think that the lack of thought into ur events is quite... ridiculous. make a maze harder and more challenging once in a while instead of lame telephrases everytime, c'mon.

If you actually did the event you'd find out it's not a telephrase. you've got to go around room finding clues and solving the murder, the telephrase is where you put the answers in once you've solved it. It just so happens habboquests decided not to do a guide for the solving part (there shouldn't be a guide at all, but hopefully it'll get removed soon).
An awful lot of effort was put into this event, not just by me, but by Trammel and Plebings too. It isn't some telephrase that was put together at the last minute.

A request has been sent for guides to be removed.

Update: Guide has now been removed.

ahh just seen the guide has been removed.

thr were abt 400 views of the guide before the removal so it means hundreds already got the badge without barely lifting a finger

i still wish for ocassional harder, more strategically planned events so badges are not given away like free candy. well im not against community support, answers can still be easily leaked. not entirely referring to this event, but all other events. idk even roller mazes are better than nothing

Most event answers can be leaked in the room, that's something we can't really stop from happening. A roller maze wouldn't really give people a good impression of Habbox, it's been done a thousand times before and we'd just be called lazy.
Sorry you don't like the event. We went for something different, but events can't always appeal to everyone :P.

Can we just take a second to realise how obnoxious youre sounding considering Fansite events arent the easiest to build or plan considering ive help on a couple of them before.

The planning that goes into them is absolutely tiering and the building of them can take a fair few hours... I know that Sho has stayed up nights and days just to get things completed for things like this, yet theyre ridiculed and critisied to the last T

So maybe you should be satisfied with the events instead of asking for more "strategic" events which I mean a roller maze is far from anything as good as fansite event rooms, with the amount of planning and application it takes to pull off a successful fansite event... What about you plan and design your own fully functioning event to be used in a fansite event which is more "strategic" then complain...

I'd really love to see you make the effort to make and produce something like this yourself. You evidently have little to no idea of how this sort of thing works. What makes it worse is that you'd jump in to assume and judge before you even try it; makes it sort of redundant, doesn't it? It looks like people make 'feedback threads' for the sake of trying to look cool more so than for actual feedback these days.

i know it isnt easy. i myself isnt a fantastic builder. but if other fansites can do it? why cant we?

lets get this straight, habbox has been the only fansite who keeps coming out with rlly lame events than when put against other fansites, makes us look very bad. for eg, the thanksgiving collaboration last year where habbox was the only official fansite whose room we go just bypass without doing anything.

dont get me wrong. i love easy events, just more badges for me. if this was another fansite, i honestly couldnt care less. why im creating this thread is because i am always hoping habbox continues to improve its standard, continue to remain the best fansite existing. what can i say, sorry if this is too much to ask for?

Alright, leave the poor guy alone. He was just basing it off a guide on another fansite - Which a lot of people would have done before entering the room on Habbo. Isn't fully his fault but yeah he should have tried the event before posting a feedback thread.

Anyway, enjoy it and have a nice weekend.

Go try the event and you'll see it's slightly harder than a guide would suggest. It's a murder mystery so well done Habbox for thinking of something different from the usual maze/wired games.

I think it might be more the way you're coming across in your replies :S It might not be intentional but I think that's what others are getting at. Feedback can be valuable and good, it just needs to be constructive rather than trying to state something is crap and offering no decent solution.

I don't see why this is a lame event? It's different to what other fansites have ever done and everyone else seems to like it.
The Thanksgiving event was a mistake based on a bad explanation of what we were required to do by Habbo and won't happen again. It happened once and we're making sure it's not to happen again.

im not basing this thread just off only this event that i havent done... :P but LMAO perhaps i should become a manager or stay here for 10 years before i ever make a feedback thread because only then ill seem like im not trying to look cool :') well done im legit so amused by u, ripieno :')

i dnt have a solution to this?? only the people in charge of the event can fix it and im just trying to get my views across. if this was another fansite, again, i wouldnt even bother to say hey make a harder event. that would cause me even more time to do the event so ultimately i lose out??

roller maze was only an example of the 'least' you could at least do. :P

Why do people criticise before thinking it through? Everyone is doing it lately. I haven't done the event yet, but I think the badge looks cool.

i was really worried about this going up, especially as we felt quite pushed for time at the end, but overall my main worry was that people weren't going to enjoy it (especially when inseriousity came and said he got bored :(). i honestly don't mind that habboquests posted the results, i know this event is very easy to bypass but i think as a maze/game/thing it comes off rather well.

if you only come into these fansite events for the badges then you're never going to fully appreciate them anyway, just see people try to rush through the rooms as quickly as possible. for people who came here for an event i hope they left happy, i get so sick of the same wired maze repeated over and over, or when people shove an automated queue in the room and call it a day. weird how mazes are so popular but when it comes to these type of events most people want to get it over with.

i remember the recent habbo mall event with BaW and i felt bad for them that no-one wanted to actually try out the challenge and look through the rooms for answers, especially seeing as it wasn't just another wired maze.

tl;dr, i hope anyone that came for a unique-ish wired maze enjoy it, and if you came for the badge, i hope you like the badge too.

I honestly really enjoyed doing it! @Shonly; and whomever contributed did a fantastic job on the room. The room was built well and making people find clues was a brilliant idea! I loved it! @Absently; and I worked together to solve the mystery, but yeah I liked it!I got to get a sneak peak of it from stalking @Plebings; I loved every room! I hope we can get more badges out there and expand Habbox even more!

rlly im not obliged to create a feedback thread uno :P but oh well it seems what im thinking is pretty unpopular and rest assured i dont tend to make the same mistakes twice.

but if u keep an eye closed against the majority of people thinking ur fansite events is **** then oh well. i have had hffm forum manager pokemon saying that habbox rooms were the worst designed when he was boasting abt hffm and i brought up habbox. he was also the ex assistant general manager of habbox otherwise known as immenseman. hanna.yeap also noted that habbox events are the worst. this is how other people, how other fansites view you if this keeps up. i keep trying to defend habbox and i find it quite hard sometimes since... when its true.

thanks guise for your jumping on the bandwagon flaming back at me and +repping each other. appreciated. ill keep in mind to keep whatever i feel to myself and stop being so obnoxious and fimd some feedbaxk to actually feedback on and dont ctiticise without thinking through and since i think doing a fansite event is so easy, i should just do it myself.

A lot of people had fun in the event, the fact that everyone didn't like it doesn't mean that it's the worst. People would complain if we did a typical maze and people complain when we go for something different, we just can't win :P. I've been in the room more or less all day and, apart from the 1-2 people saying it's difficult or don't like the badge, everyone said they liked the mystery itself (they weren't even saying this to me, this was them casually speaking to friends). I agree that some of the events we've done weren't the best and we learn from those and don't do them again, but the majority have had great feedback (in the rooms and in threads on other forums on the event - I always check them for suggestions on improvements for future events).

The fact that two people (two people from other fansites, ofc they're gonna slate Habbox, they do it to other fansites too. If you went to one of the fansite meetings you'd see this happen all the time) don't mean that everybody thinks that. Although I admit that rooms designed by me aren't the best. There was feedback based on that, which is why we have Room Builders now. This is the first time we've had a fansite event since Room Builders were introduced and the rooms looked much better than they have been in past events, so we don't ignore feedback. If it can be improved I will work on it, but doing all maze-type events just so people can't leak answers isn't the best thing imo. It would be boring and it wouldn't really stand out. However, I will make sure that Habbo let all fansites know not to post guides before they're posted next time and ask them to close the threads so the answers don't get posted in the comments.

hey bloop. just came across like you were criticising this event only, you may still have issues with it in which case i would love to hear them so we take note for the future. however i do believe the majority would agree with you that previous habbox events have never been amazing, be it recycled ideas or bare rooms.

i think we need to discuss the future of fansite events, whether people would prefer taking a risk with new events or using tried and tested methods to make as many people happy as possible.

yh i remembered u say something in a thread before tht u wished habbox event werent always the lame boring events that take 5 minutes to complete. i remembered cuz i was contemplating whether or not to flame u LOL

ill send u a pm these few days with some fansite events that i liked and some old habbox events that id (not) liked :) give me a while to gather my information :P.
