I don't have a best friend. I've only known my current friends 18 months and still don't know them that well - they've never even been to my house. I've never done well with friends. They always end up getting sick of me after 2 - 3 years and we have a huge argument, I spend a little while sitting alone at school/college and then I find a new group to third wheel.
I've known my best friend for about 5 years.

I've known my one best friend for 15yrs(my longest lasting friend), and my other friend I've known for just over a year.
I've known her since I was 2! So 14 years ahah

It's kinda weird, I have a friend I used to be super close with who I've known for like 6 years now, I could still go to her if I wanted anything and I still love her to pieces but we don't talk that much
Then Sam, like 4 years (although tbf we weren't that good friends when I first joined so I'm saying about 3/4 ok ok)
my two IRL best friends I've known for 4 years and 3 years, met them at uni. I don't see one of them at all though, just talk online and with both of them I have weird friendships with where we don't really talk about stuff. Idk.

its sad because a girl who used to be best friends with moi we hadk nown eachother lit since before nursery so like 12/13 years
then i moved areas and went to a diff school to everyone (except sister obV) so it was hard but she stayed over every other weekend at my dads still
n we were extremely close
but it ended 2yrs ago when my dad went on his long holiday and hes still not home so idk i almost went to same college as her ofr next yr but i changed my option
sad times cos she was really fab but i have no reason to go to my dads area anymore cos hes not there

Not sure if I really have a best friend anymore. Pretty much lost all meaningful contact with a lot of the friends at home. I'll see them a few times every year but that's about it and I've not really known anyone long enough at uni to consider it. If I had to give an answer, it will probably be 8 or 9 years, or maybe 2 or 3 depending on the person.
