One of the private schools near us supplies iPads to every student though lol but there's no way that could ever happen to a state school in Cambridgeshire (what with being the lowest funded county for education in the country).
Using Google searches is ridiculous. We can't always rely on the internet even if the internet is going to be more a part of our lives in the future. I agree that the way children are being educated needs to be updated but handing all the answers to kids on a plate is ridiculous.
This is absolutely ridiculous and something I have a massive problem with. I don't think this should be allowed unless the student has some sort of learning difficulty. a primary school near me is introducing it and it is a joke. Kids are going to spend all day in school looking at a screen and then go home and do the exact same thing, it's so unhealthy and I don't see why it is being promoted.Quote:

at my sisters school all free school meal kids have an ipad now funded by school it really helps my sister as she has a learning disability, teachers installed all apps for her and obviously something has helped as she's just got an A in her english mock despite being told years ago she'd probably never sit any gcse's because of her learning disability. I don't however think internet should be used in exams
