I have an app on my phone called Digi Pill which has some hypnosis listening crap on it - it bores the life out of me so it does the trick.

I will either watch Youtube videos, read long articles or listen to music. If my phone and/or iPod are out of charge I will move and roll about repetitively until I find a comfortable place to lie and then eventually that puts me to sleep.
I'm really into asmr videos so I watch those but I can never get to sleep even when I watch those. I just deal with it sadly

Sleeping for me is very easy, so I rarely have trouble. If I can't sleep, I'll usually just go on Reddit for half an hour (if that) and that will be enough to make me want to sleep :P
I can lie awake for literally hours at night just thinking of stuff because one of the side effects of the medication I take is temporary insomnia or something i can't remember what it's technically called. But yeah, I don't do anything except lie there thinking of stuff. The worst night I ever had for that was a couple of years ago I think and I just did sleep at all, I just lay there from 11pm til 7am and then had to go off to school :'(

usually just watch the simpsons, background noise more than anything!
I put the TV on and then usually turn over and go straight to sleep. There's something about having the people talking in the background that helps me to sleep. But then @Kardan; has to wake up to turn it off! :)
I usually read a book, and I end up falling asleep before the second paragraph.

I'll usually end up in YouTube watching random documentaries or i'll turn on some Howard Stern or Michael Savage.
my mirtazapine has a strong anti-histamine effect which knocks you out cold after half hour
apparently you build a bit of tolerance to the knock out effect but i havent been taking them much atm so they still zzzzzzzzz me
I had a nap earlier and couldn't sleep tonight so I carried on painting my room. Just had a break then.
Here are mine: Take Nyquil night time or ZZZquil. Read a book, Watch Youtube videos about lectures or about real scary stories. I sometimes read forums on strange phone calls or forums in general about technology.
I open social medias over and over again expecting to see something different.
Dip my face in cold water then go back to bed. Something to do with cooling your temperature down helps you sleep better or something. Not 100% on the technicalities of it but it's what I have always done lol.
Play solitaire for hours
Possibly, i read it somewhere a while back that it has something to do with body temperatures and helping you cool down ready to sleep. Presumably something similar to sleeping with no clothes on helps cool your body temperature for a better sleep.
I did read it online..
So chances are its a load of rubbish but i do it anyway aha!
