What members of the nobility have you ever met/seen?

I've been really interested in royalty/the aristocracy the past half a year and wondered this.

What members of the nobility (aka people with titles) have you ever met? It can be royalty, aristocrats, celebrities or politicians - as long as they have a title like Prince, Duke, Earl, Marquis, Lord, Sir, Dame... and so on. You haven't had to talk to them, but kinda like seen with your own eyes so it might have been a visit to your school, a festival - whatever.

I've met in order of seniority by title...




Earl of Dartmouth (hereditary peerage - 10th Earl)

Met during a conference.

Lord Monckton of Brenchley (hereditary peerage - 3rd Viscount)

Met and spoken with during a conference.

Lord Norton of Louth (life peerage)

Teacher.





Still yet to meet royalty. :(

How about you?

Haven't met anyone but seen the queen and prince phillip at stormont for her diamond jubilee and when I was in Rome, I seen Pope Francis.

I've met Prince Phillip (he opened an accommodation block where I was staying in year 6)

They're not nobility, none holds a title.

I know but when you said politicians I thought you meant those without title too. And technically these people do hold a title.

I've met the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh in last years garden party. I was introduced to them so I shook their hands and stuff. Duke asked me what I was studying and I said 'Film and Television' and he said 'haha, does that mean you just watch TV?' rip. He then asked my mother if she owned the Royal Mint. I assume he was joking.

Then in school I met and shook hands with Prince Charles and Camilla as they did the inspection for our Cadet Force. I was doing drill so he was interested in that.

I am the one with soaking hair because it was pouring down with rain. (and yes, it's a picture of a tv screen. My mother took it haha)
I had a guard behind me with an umbrella but as soon as the royal family came down he had to put the umbrella down
So I was drenched
Then my mother is next to me looking dry with her umbrella :))) We had to stand in certain places so the umbrella didn't reach me
