Every single festive season, I get invited to so many Christmas parties (family ones obviously, it's not like I have a real social life) and every single party goes along pretty much the same lines: my cousin will take over the entire dinner time conversation by talking about her vegetarian eating habits; my brother will spend the day attempting numerous jigsaws and there will always be at least one person throwing shade at my auntie.
