After hearing of @welshcakes; latest drama I figured I'd make this thread
Have you ever stole from work?
I'd personally never, it just seems stupid and asking for trouble as well as disrespectful to your employers.

at the hotel i used to work at, we would give out bowls of sweets to the kids at functions but would keep some behind the bar to eat through the night. so technically stealing but we were often doing 12 hr shifts with no break so idc. would also steal sweets for desserts in the kitchen too lol. one time i stole an ice cream cone when no one was watching and the phone rang!!! totally forgot they had cameras all over lol. it was someone looking for someone else tho thankfully!
other than that, ive stolen a million pens from work. wouldn't risk stealing anything major and wouldn't want to anyway.
No I never have. I used to look at things I wanted at work all the time and think "oh I could just take that and no one would ever know!!!" but I know I would always be too scared to. I went home with some extra 5 pences in my pocket once (by accident because I'd been changing round money in the till and a customer had distracted me) and was so scared I went back in when the shop opened on Monday and sneakily put them back without telling anyone and no one ever said anything so I guess nobody noticed.
Nope! Other than the odd pen here and there!
I was a cash office supervisor for 6 years and trusted with keys for safes and banking 20 grand most days etc, so I would never have broken that trust!
I did however 'steal' items off shop floor for the bakery though such as sugar when our supplies had run out! :P

I don't think I would ever steal money from work though if I worked in retail. Few pens every now and again and once I took a pad of stickie notes but I felt so guilty when my colleague couldn't find any the next day I brought them back in at lunchtime and gave them to him ugh I'm so nice and good help
Nope, not something I would do to be honest.
Never stolen anything, apart from food/drink and the odd 20p or something I pick up off the floor but I don't class that as stealing £20 out of the till.

No, I own my company so no. Although I take free pens from where ever I can so I never have to pay for pens. We have fired several people for stealing with criminal prosecution.

No I would never steal from the place I work, I have too much respect for them as after all they gave me a job and pay me my wages! I've took an odd pen here and there when I've forgot about them I guess, but the shop pays them out so it's not losing or gaining any money from it.
Oh I thought I'd replied to this, appaz I voted then left :P BACK WHEN I HAD A JOB so like 2008 I did evening work when there was only one floor of workers in and I'd take breaks and just wander around the building to get away from the few people I did have to see, and one time I went into one of the upstairs offices and robbed a mouse because my one at home had broken and I felt well rebellious. It lasted me for like 6 years best thing I've ever taken obv *+*+*+
but 4real would you really see anything under £50 as minor that seems a very high margin
never professionally but when i was a kid and helped out with tuck shop or charity cake stalls i used to take more money out when getting people's change so i could buy myself some sweets :(

I voted no but maybe I technically did steal - our uniform at work was to be handed back in when we quit but I never did so I have a very fetching Nottingham Forest jacket that I should've given back.
As my disciplinary hearing outcome states, I was not complicit in the theft of vouchers for personal gain, I was just naive to Lauren taking them ;) tbh I did take a voucher and give it to @lawrawrrr; but this was before they actually had a system where you could credit the vouchers back to the customer, so there was a drawer full of them to give to irate customers.
Ive never taken any money from a till or anything like that. I did take a box of staples off shop floor to use in store, but that's about it.
I have dreamt about it on many occasions, for example - if we actually held enough money in store would it be easy to just run away to another country?
But of course it will never happen in this crappy job, and I don't think I would ever have the guts either. xD

Last Christmas I was in Asda doing some shopping and this woman I always say hello to when I'm in there was on the self checkouts and I was having a lot of trouble with this one machine. She came over and apparently it was my own bags that were causing the issue so she put 2 crates of fosters that I was buying on the bagging area and then put my bags on there and weighed the ''bags'' and approved it. As she walked away she said merry Christmas and winked at me. She gave me 2 free crates of fosters for Christmas just by weighing them as bags. I wonder if she has done that to many other people or if she ever got in trouble for it.

When I scanned stuff through I'd be doing it so quick that if it didn't actually scan the person would already have it in their bag before I realised. I've gave customers stuff for free. Customer wanted a slice of pizza and the rest of the pizza was going to be binned (due to shitty company policy) so gave her the rest of it and a customer didn't like how empty the cup was when the coffee machine poured it so I poured him another and gave him one for free.
