@xxMATTGxx; I'd say the town hall for Manchester, known as one of the best examples of Victorian Gothic in the country.

And Liverpool's town hall is one of the best examples of the earlier Georgian architecture. Thank God they both survived the 1960s town planners.

in my actual village, although not a building, it's probably the Dorothea Quarry. although if you don't live around here then chances are you wouldn't have heard of it anyway. most dominant slate quarry in nantlle valley until world war 2, but it's flooded now and people just go there to scuba dive lmao

The Haribo Factory is closing down as far as I know so it'll be weird not having the big sign as you go up to town there or anything! They built a bigger, better, new one in the adjoining town so they've created more jobs there! I wonder what will become of the old building though.Quote:

It's already built, it's in Castleford - you see it on your way to Leeds (I saw it on the way back from the Royal Armouries after our work's Christmas party). It does look a lot bigger and much more modern if that makes sense - goes for the more sophisticated look than the Pontefract one with the Haribo kid and everything on.Quote:

Probably Elizabeth Quay which has just been opened - named after the Queen - and also includes the bell tower which has been there for agess.

yeah it's in Perth. I'm not to sure what has and hasn't been built yet. A large majority of those apartments/skyscrapers haven't even began construction yet, probably won't until like 2019 knowing Perth. They'll be behind schedule and over budget!Quote:
