Does anyone buy physical albums any more? Apparently the guy who presents The Chase had the biggest selling album last year which makes me laugh !!
But yeah so I've only ever physically owned 2 albums:
Huge Hits 99 and
Gwen Stefani Sweet Escape
I've also owned two more digital albums:
Panic at the Disco Death of Bachelor and
Christina Perri Head or Heart
and that is LITERALLY IT the only albums I've ever owned!!
So what do you own?? DO you still get CDs?
i buy cds every now and again!! it's nice to have!! i will probs buy ed sheerans new album i reckon.. the last two albums i physically bought were ed sheeran X and hudson taylor singing for strangers. the last digital album i bought was every avenue bad habits which was a while ago
id buy more if i had the room for them??? but i quite simply dont and i always just lose them!
there r loads that i bought from charity shop then moved onto my pc n got rid lool

i used to buy CDs when I had a car with a CD Player
so I don't anymore.
bradley walsh from the chase actually had the best selling DEBUT album, over zayn malik and if you think about it streaming is playing a big part in music sales - younger peeps unlikely to buy a cd from hmv over using spotify whereas people who bought bradley walsh album (which has barely any streams on spotify) will be old peepsQuote:

Literally none. I stream everything and I never bought them before that.
I dont really have CDs the ones i did have I ended up giving away since you can get everything online now!
The only physical albums I have are my Steps collection (all of their albums) which I could never get rid of, and my 'Now that's what I call Musicals' CD that I bought for the car. :P I also burn my own compilation CD's for the car too as my car is old so doesn't have bluetooth or anything fancy like that.
I only own five.
Oh wait no three now, I got rid of the two English ones and kept the three German ones lmao.
I intend to buy another one sometime soon :)
I still buy CDs and rip them in lossless format, so I usually buy albums that I really like for serious listening e.g. alt-J, Bon Iver, The XX, etc. I'm really into the whole album design too and enjoy liner notes, which are things you don't get from streaming services and digital downloads. It's really sad to see CDs dying because the packaging side of it is great and I feel not many people appreciate it anymore.

I have 3 Live Lounge CDs (2007, 2012 and 2015) and they are well worth getting, and also Back To Black by Amy Winehouse because she is literally my favourite artist, I've been meaning to buy Frank and Lioness: Hidden Treasures by her for ages but not got round to it.
far too many to be honest. i hope the physical format doesn't die though, people need to be willing to put more money into the industry.
most physical purchases for me are limited vinyl presses now, use spotify for most of my listening so when i see something readily available i think "i'll get it eventually", but lots of acts now put up limited pre-order presses (or indie record store exclusives). have posted a bunch of pics on this forum with my collection but haven't done it in a while so check out what i got for christmas + other recent purchases!
