Do you know anyone or have met anyone who never learned to read?
I've never known or met anyone who never knew how to read, but I've had plenty of people in my classes that were terrible at reading. Whenever they came across a slightly complex word, they'd just stop and have no clue how to pronounce it until the teacher did so. I never had trouble, though.

I've served this one girl at uni once who couldn't read and yet she'd been accepted into university lol

(DESPITE YOUNG TODDLERS) Technically not live and in person but media usually tell stories about old men who's learnt how to read after their 80s so, yeah
I know a few functional analphabets but this is a story for an other book

Like others have said apart from younger children I've never come across anyone who can't read. I've come across people who maybe can't read very well but not anyone who can't read at all!
