What is level?
Looks confusing, I'm sure I'll get the hang of it with time
Yeah seems different - They use a levelling system on Hotel Hideaway so I am guessing they are using their approach, Though, this has caused a lot of toxicness on hotel hideaway due to users level numbers.

Looks pretty big and bulky, hoping they sort that out.
All in all doesn't look TOO bad, fingers crossed they won't muck it up too much

Meh as long as the actual functions are there it can have those minging app-like icons for everything. Most interesting will be how they copy over all the current account info, furni, groups, creds, memberships etc... Presumably will have to entirely close it for a while so people don't get stuck halfway through sales and stuff, but most likely the "popular" habbos will get a load of free shit in another compensation deal anyway
Don't really play myself anymore but looks good, and I'm glad they'll be able to continue post-Flash.
Looks like the app is becoming more and more like Hotel Hideaway by the day...
Apparently that's not even the app view, that's the PC interface. CHUNKY. I will forgive all if they finally fix room trade options
A good start but if that's really the desktop then it's way too bulky, the credits area is taking up 1/8th of the space
But this is just one first look picture so it'll turn out fine I'm sure
I agree with everyone else, looks super bulky. Though I hardly go on, so I'm not sure it'll bother me lol..
That account sure does have a lot of diamonds lol
Defo some mix views across the community that is for sure - I am open minded in that it will look a tad different at the final product.
Though - the fabulous rumours have started (just like the merge ones!) - silly ones I have heard so far is that the Marketplace is no more and wird furni won't work. Have you heard any others?
That would kill Habbo, I think 98% of rooms these days have some sort of wired in them, and some solely rely on wired to actually function as its intended purpose.. As for the MP, I think that would cause much fuss as well... Back before the MP we had to navigate in and out of rooms searching for someone selling the specific item you wanted, which way back when wasn't that hard since there were more players, plus a lot of shops.. however now there is hardly any shops, and far less players along with a LOT more furni, meaning the chances of someone having what you're after is slim.
They won't be removing major features, this will have been stuff they've made sure will work BEFORE deciding on the platform
I don't like change... i'm excited to see what this level business is all about though! hehe
just wish they'd stay simular to the UI Rn
Same game, different coating
New statement out:
Bolded bit is interesting cos honestly that screenshot looks very app-first but it's nice for them to actually commit to continuing to support for desktops and PCs etc.Quote:
Earlier this month, we gave you a first look at Habbo 2020's UI. The reaction was mixed and we wanted to make sure the community is as informed as it can be.
Firstly, we'd like to reiterate that Habbo 2020 is an entirely new client. It's being built from the ground up with with Unity, a cross-platform game engine. We're certainly not just replicating the Habbo mobile app for people who log into Habbo from a desktop device!
Secondly, we'd like to point out that the screenshot we shared was just an example of how Habbo 2020 will look on one device. It will be scalable and will adapt to the device you play on. We'll be able to show more of the UI in the coming weeks.
Finally, we'd like to reassure everyone that Habbo 2020 will be available to play on desktop. This means that if you prefer to play Habbo on a laptop, Macbook, PC or any other desktop device, you'll be able to play Habbo 2020 as normal.

Looking forward to more UI screenshots though!
I don't really think I can have much of a say on Habbo in general considering I login once a week for literally 2 minutes. However I am glad that they're continuing support for the PC, I did worry that the screenshot was more geared towards touch screen devices with it's bulky interface.
Hopefully the mobile applications will be a lot better than their current one, I have their current one installed on my tablet for god knows what reason, but I can't stand being on it because it's whole interface is awful in my opinion.
Too much going on these days.
Then again, I am someone who was confused by Xbox Live (and still am).
This UI IS DISGUSTING
Not a fan of the UI, but it could be worse.
There doesn't seem to be any instant message chat button like we have just now. The thing I thought it was is labelled as chat history. Hopefully they're not getting rid of it...
oh god no, the user interface would not even attract an 13 year old these days to use habbo - this is screaming club penguin.
The most interesting part from all of these changes is the engine update, 4 sure. Flash games will forever be in my heart and hard drive but Habbo deserves to find its own way somewhere the giants live. If the Sulake crew is sufficiently neat to care about how game-playing operates these days, they not only will turn Habbo into a sort of stand alone exe, downloadable as the mellow, respectable online toy it can be, but also, it would be cool to have a custom status thing dedicated to Habbo there on Discord (you know, the one you let other people see what you are playing at the moment, etc). Details, details... but why not?
On the new UI: It *kind of* makes sense for the mobile versions as it is interesting to have the icons standing out, allowing the players to distinguish what exactly is part of the interface and what belongs to the game screen (something unnecessary on desktop since the mouse cursor does this task itself with some extra aesthetic perks since the vectorial art in habbo looks shitty imo!!) but MANnnn.. Habbo should really restore its pride for the pixels and restore the old identity by making it all counterantialiased (?), from the font to the icons, this is what the game needs the most. At least, graphics-wise. It doesn't have to fit into a pattern or two in order to become your regular blandish mmo and a non-habbo-y habbo. Yikes overall
About the level system... Maybe just a thing to take a solid advantage of the achievement score we've been accumulating with so much whimsy since day 1? Like EXP points? Rewards? If so.. bring it up!!

Without sounding tooooo bad here, it almost looks like someones college final year school project.
So chunky
Interesting as to how Sulake will move forward with this. Looks like the mobile app and not everyone will enjoy this interface. Making this optional is preferred.
Additional sneak peek released today - This time showing us what the shop front and marketplace will look like:
https://www.habbo.com/community/arti...he-marketplace
Direct purchases through the shop ooooooof that's gonna cost me. Private trades seems interesting, I wonder if that's going to replace in-room trading because if not it's basically just gonna be a way for people to use the black market easier :P
Did they give a release date of this new interface, or am I being completely blind?
The very specific date of 2020
I was half expecting it to be released 1st Jan 2020, call me crazy for thinking that.
They'll probably roll it out over the duration of the year for it to be fully released by the end of 2020. I'm assuming they've had to change it due to flash not being supported anymore?
Hopefully they'll sort out the kinks they never did when they changed it from the old one as well.
The shop and marketplace look okay; would've liked to see a similar interface to the one they'd planned years ago but this one seems alright.
I have so many wishes for the update but what I'd like to see the most is flatpack teleporters so we can trade them in the marketplace.
Another thing I really want is a way to try on clothes without having to buy them and check the preview screen. But it looks like this isn't happening from what they've shown of the new clothes editor :( I know they have a preview when buying clothes from the catalog but I'd like that added to the marketplace too if there's not going to be a dedicated section on the clothing editor
I wish teleporters could go in the market place too! Not sure why room hoppers and stuff like that can't be placed in them. Hopefully they'll sort something out or figure out a way to fairly implement the trading of them in the market place.
What is level?
Not sure, I assume they're adding some sort of incentive to keep users coming back, a sort of friendly competition to level up your character... to be honest I think it'll work, I'd def play a lot more if I could somehow level up my character, assuming there was perks to doing so...
If this is the PC interface I'll be so upset. Seems ok for mobile. But way to bulky for PC imo.

This is what it's supposed to look like on a larger screen, the room and Habbos are exactly the same as in the first pic lol so prob just had this plonked on top but should be ok I think
