Do you have many friends or is your circle small?
My circle is really small in terms of friendship, but that's more due to social anxiety, but I prefer it that way! I would say my boyfriend is definitely one of my best friends as well as my sister and mum really, they're definitely the people I am closest to.
I do have work friends, but I don't really hang out with them outside of work.

Honestly I have 1 friend.. literally.
I have other people I talk to on occasion yeah, and old school friends who I see once every few months, but only 1 friend who I talk to religiously throughout the week and I see him every weekend too. I guess I have a lot of what I would class as in-between a friend and an acquaintance... Not quite a true friend, but at the same time I know them too well for it to be classed as an acquaintance
Can't understand people who say they have more than like 2 or 3 friends, I can barely maintain 1, could possibly squeeze in another but I'm not sure I want to lol
I have a bad habit when certain people talk to me (even those I class as friends or work friends). They'll message me (or sometimes I'll start messaging them) and I then try and end the conversation repeatedly after each of their replies. I don't mean to do it, I think it's just the anxiety I have and it's not like I need to speak to them at that moment in time.

Is that just via text or do you try to shut down convos in person as well?
I'd actually have to have conversations irl to do that ;).
Nah I'm joking, but it's just text ones. If I'm talking to someone irl and I'm in a rush I'll just tell them that, but to say I'm shy around new people I actually do like having proper conversations irl. I think you learn a lot more about a person verbally than you do over a text.

See I'm like 50/50, I enjoy having convos irl, but not with strangers, mainly because I always find it so awkward unless we have a lot to talk about, which isn't often the case. There is always awkward silences and the convo doesn't often flow...
Plus I HATE small talk, like when I call the office at work. I call them for a reason, normally to find out where I'm going next, most people would say "Hi, you alright?" But I just get straight to it and say "Hi, where am I heading next?" Because quite frankly I don't care how they are lol.
I'm half decent at small talk when I need to be, but that's just me pretending to be someone I'm not, and it doesn't feel right...
Oh yeah strangers I'm not the best with, I just never know what to say or how to start a conversation. Luckily, my workmates are lovely and they don't do small talk much, they message me on Facebook for my rota or if they want me to do extra instead. I prefer that as I can reply in my own time (plus for some reason they don't have my number).
It was worse at my old job, I had my mum's old number for a bit. I changed it plenty of times, but they kept ringing that number and worried my mum sick because she thought something had happened to me at work. I didn't like talking at my old job to others, at my new job it's a lot better and I feel so much better for it as well.

Yet you're perfectly happy talking to a stranger via text on the internet.
Amazing what a face to face interaction can do to a person. I guess plus the fact that on here we have time to think of a response and what would possibly take us 15 minutes to talk through would only take about 2 or 3 minutes irl.
Plus idk about you but I'm almost a different person irl compared to online, not in my mannerisms or anything, but moreso the way I word things, I word things a lot better online than I do irl, I think that's due to my college days where I was forced to actually write and construct proper sentences etc lol
I have many friends, but a small circle of 'close' friends.
I've got a large social group of friends, but out of those i'd say like 3-4 really close friends.
My close friendship group is like 8 people.
But I also include maybe another 5 as friends too.
I constantly fear losing friends via drifting apart. I *always* make an effort - but some people you have to let go when there's no mirror energy.

I have quite a few friends but they're in about six completely separate groups that have nothing to do with each other. I often imagine what it'd be like if they mixed and met up sometime and honestly I think quite a few of them wouldn't get on.
Of my six groups, I have maybe 9 people I speak to on an almost daily basis either via message or in real life. I'm quite sociable and like to keep myself connected. Also I think thanks to growing up using Habbo so much I really value online messaging and get a lot more gratification from it than my friends who maybe didn't grow up on the internet lol. It can be just as important to me as face to face interaction sometimes, or at least is a worthy replacement if we're both really busy and/or far away from each other. Anyone else on here know what I'm talking about or is it just me?
