Oscillating between 6 and 8 — am I ok or
Oh my gosh, my hand is stressed just thinking of writing it like #6 :O
6 could make sense for cursive so you have connections in the right place except that in cursive an X is two curves not straight lines
number 6, anything else and you're a mutant freak
I just tried it out loads of times and if I'm writing the letter x in a word its 7 but if I'm writing x as a multiplication it 5

It's ok, I do 5 too.. Though to be honest.. I'm not sure which one I do naturally, it's between 5 and 7, but I can't test this because I'm aware I'm doing it, so I need to basically forget to check which way I draw my X's and then somehow immediately remember to note down which way I did it.
number 8, any other way seems like you're putting way too much effort in
seven unless I'm in a hurry then its a five
