so do you enjoy your job? (and what is it)
i'm a teacher in a combined primary/high school/academy and i love my job. sometimes i get bad days like a bad class or whatever, but most days i feel much better in work than outside of work. the kids make me laugh, its relatively easy for a job and great working hours. i have my own classroom too!

I work for my dad and mostly do paperwork/office admin stuff.
I don't mind what I do--I work from home and for the most part, don't have to interact with anyone but him.
I run the family business as well as I am a full time mum, both are great but are also stressful as heck.
I love them both, though, I wouldn't give either up
I'm a car transporter.. I wouldn't say I enjoy it.. I don't dislike it, but as I'm away Mon-Fri, it's a social life killer. Has been even worse during covid as I normally spend my weekend socialising with friends/family trying to catch up on a weeks lost due to me being at work, whereas due to covid, I come home and can't do anything or see anyone, so feels like I'm never able to see anyone.
It's a job though, so gotta pay dem bills
I'm a product administrator, I set up all the mortgage and savings products for the building society. I don't LOVE my job, however I'm happy with it. I work with a great bunch of people, the job isn't exactly hard and I'm currently working from home. What more could I want, except a pay rise?
I'm a Quality Assurance Coordinator for an online distance learning provider. It's mainly admin work but I enjoy it. My colleagues are really nice and I work Monday to Friday 9-5 which is decent. :)

I really love my job. I work in the International Programs office at my local University. I've worked plenty of jobs at the University while I was a student, and even after, but this one just has a different atmosphere. I think part of it is the students (it's so interesting to learn about where they're from), but I think the main reason why I love it so much is because of my co-workers. Right when I was hired, I felt so welcomed and appreciated, and I feel that same way every single day of work as well. It's nice to feel appreciated and valued, and that's something that I never really got at previous jobs, so it makes me feel a lot more energized and excited to be at work.
Today was my last day at my job and it was in women's retail fashion. Recently it has just been a big terrible mess with the company making some really poor decisions so before that I did like it (although it wasn't what I wanted to do forever) but it's also a relief to get out of what was starting to feel like a sinking ship.

The owner also owns a vegan cafe which is the cafe I first started out in 4 years ago, and within the last 2 weeks managed to finally get out of. As much as I loved the experience there, it was just too quiet for me, and also working 6 days a week between 2 cafe's was just a bit too much by the end of it! Trying to remember 2 menu's and other stuff was getting a bit rough.
In the cafe I'm in now, everyone gets along really well and we all treat eachother like family. I think that's how it should be! Yes we joke around, but we also do our work too.
i'm gonna be starting my 6th year of teaching this september and i still enjoy my xareer as much as when i made this post
just helped like 60 odd students in summer school pass their exams and still get a thrill from it
I'm going on 3 years of working in International Programs and Services, processing the new students' immigration documents and advising them on their visa status, and it honestly is still super fun to me and cool to meet people from all around the world. I recently got promoted to a new position within my department as well - so that's super cool!
Do you teach English in a Spanish School then? I bet you have visted some amazing places in spain!! So jelous.Quote:

i've just done 1 year in a private academy near Malaga and I'm going to do another year there as still a lot to go and see.
just taught for a month at a summer camp at the Uni of Liverpool too teaching Spanish and Italians.
it's been great, literally doing the career i always wanted and training at it, but getting to travel at the same time. each place i do i get the chance to go and see whats around andneighbouring towns/cities/mountains, like when i return in late september i'm aiming to finally tick off Grenada and Cordoba/Murcia and possibly Valencia in 2024.

I left my old job in May due to evil comments made about my terminally ill mum, the manager's making me do the same amount of work as 3/4 other people with 2 hours less to do it in and just the place generally going downhill!
I applied on a whim for a job as a Shift Leader in a local arcade, ended up getting the job but it wasn't enough hours. Fast forward to a week after that and they made me an offer I couldn't refuse and honestly this is the best job I have. I enjoy it a lot and I actually get the recognition I deserve.

still loving my job but this is my 6th year at it and this september i'm undergoing teacher training back home for a year as ive been accepted onto a course. once i've got the qualification i'll probs go abroad again (not sure if Spain or more likely somewhere different) but it'll hugely raise my salary!!!
basically though i'll be fulfilling an aim i had since i was 11 so happy days.
Still loving the job, best job I've ever had. We're currently shut for a refurb so I've ended up with 2 weeks off. We also had the Tiktoker Zoe Bread come in the other day and I ended up in one of her videos (well the back of me and my voice, asking if it was her), still buzzing about it haha!
I've sorted my last day now with my job in Fuengirola (Spain), 17th May - that will conclude 6 years teaching in Spain. Like I said I really enjoy it but I need that higher qualification to take me to the next level, but the experience and living abroad in three places in Spain has been fantastic. I've definitely done it the right way by training on the job and then going for teacher training rather than the other way around!
I'm leaving early this year as I am going travelling for 38 days in late May/all June before starting my PGCE. Today I had my offer of employment for 4 weeks in July at the University of Liverpool teaching in a summer camp - really good money, really enjoyable and I did it last year with a wonderful team who are all returning this year too.
Life is good.

I have to say that teaching this last year on a teaching course in Britain has absolutely sucked.
You'd have to be mad to teach over here. Micromanaged to the hilt. I finish on the 20th..... cannot wait.
I absolutely love my job as a train driver. Back in the days when I would play Habbo, I'd also play Train Sim on the PC, as I thought it was cool, haha. But it is a job I've wanted since I was a kid, so I'm thrilled to have achieved it.
My yearly ish update in this thread! Still really happy with the job, had issues trying to find another Shift Leader (same role as me), so it's been a bit harder but still a great job. Just had annual leave of 17 days off (wasn't long enough), but it's so nice to come back to a job after that length of time off and not be anxious about what I'm walking into.
I've been out of full-time work now for about 3 weeks and my mental health is already falling apart. NEED that routine asap.

Yes, I enjoy my job still! I received this for the whole company, not just the location I work at. I'm good at my job apparently :E.
Started a new job at an International School in southern Spain at end of September... teaching Geography, History and English. Been really enjoying it, loving the two new subjects of Geography/History which I actually prefer over English even though that is what I qualified in haha. 9am to 5pm mostly... longish days but if you enjoy it it isn't that bad. Just weird as I am used to teaching in the evenings mainly.
