Whats the new signature rule? TELL ME PLZZZZZZZZZZ
Read announcments..
Hello, for the new signiture rules please check the link below
http://www.habboxforum.com/showthread.php?t=98099
The new ranks were brought into place, as many people now have made lots of posts, and many people are getting to ranks such as 'Habbox God', so they have been increased.
I don't like it ''/
I don't see how people will spam more because the posting ranks have changed, there was always posting ranks before, just now the amount of posts needed to get into that certain rank has changed.
If people spam repeatedly they get banned and their post count reset to 0 for when/if they are unbanned.
As for the signature limitations, I think it's a good rule, there were too many stupidly long signatures that there were no need for, with huge font sizes, now that can't happen.. :)
hmm i donyt like the picture bit only one!
Ok, the ranks arn't that bad seacat, i think that in the sig that its ok that your font size bit, but the smileys thats a bit dumb, what if your saying "thanks for the sig bob123 :)" you can't :@
The signature rules were ment to work like that before but we did not have a ha.ck to do it.
So you were ment to follow similar rules like that before.
And the rank changes were needed - as 3000 for the top rank was to low.
Yeah, I understand the ranks and why you did it. But I really don't know why we can't have smileys AND a picture. Can't you limit the amount of smileys like 5, they arn't very big and don't take up too much space.Quote:

10 lines isn't enough! I've only just got that, and I've harly got anything in my sig
Same i had to delete the MCR lyrics :'(
Tis not fair!
Yeah,
and I cant write anything for ma sig :(
I always got my faverote song but now,
I just cant, 10lines is way too small :(
cant we have like 15 ? :(
Naaah. The thing is, what if you just put a smiley face to say thanks, but you can't because you already have a signature. Smileys are tiny! And I have the little edit button thingy to trick people, can't we keep stuff like that aswell as our main signature. It's hardly massived ;lQuote:

I think it's fair for VIPs to get more stuff then normal members. The line thing..come on some people's signature was SO HUGE. I had to scroll for like 1 hour so I could get to bottom page. I'm guessing even more topics like this will be made because I do know people won't agree with those rules but hey, they won't change it no matter what you say :p I think.
I know, one little girl won't change the rules :'(
It's not fair on the peeps like me, whose parents wouldn't even think about donating money to a charity, let alone to a website they've never heard of!Quote:

Please bare in mind that this is a new system being put into effect so it will probably be modified or changed in due time.
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Good news by Jin xD
I can't wait untill they are changed, if they are changed
im not actaly to botherd, its ovios they were a result of the few idiots who created the massoovly long, ginatly worded, unban who ever sigs pointlessly, wich kina ruined it for the rest of us, but ive just counted and my sig, fits in perfectly, athogh if i were to ad moe tutorials it would not. But then again i can always exspand side ways rather than downwards with the list "/Quote:

But if we have to have sig rules to start, im not so bothered "/
I kinda agree with the levels one, but the signature one is apserloutly horrible! I can't have :wav::werock::wav: in my sig now! :@ I think you need to :rude: change it! I liked the old rule, why change. God leave it as it used to be for :rude: sake!
Ok, first of all, all of y'all don't need to swear for us to notice you ;)
I think all of them are very reasonable excepting the Smiley Thing. The thing is, I don't think it was in their control (I MAY BE WRONG) but I think this is what happened. What they used was a Hack or Modification that you can add to your forum so that it doesn't allow people to enter certain things. Or it can add things onto a forum. The Arcade on Habbox.us and the Shoutbox we used to have were both hacks. I think all these rules were the result of a new hack being uploaded because of all the stupid signatures and so that mods wouldn't have to waste so much time warning people for too many images or too large sigs. I was bored the other day so went through about 3 threads looking for sigs that were against the rules (these were before the new rules were introduced) and ended up having to PM TWENTY people! But when they set a limit on pictures, they probably didn't have the choice of whether Smilies were classified as images, it was just probably a built in part of the hack!
Your signature is plenty big enough as it is. A signiture isn't supposed to be your life story, it's just a few quotes, links or funny sentences as part of your forum profile. I agree with the new rules, and don't think it's unreasonable to prohibit the use of row upon row of "Habbox Forum Rocks!" smilies. I do agree however that the odd smiley or two isn't too much to ask on top of a single image.Quote:

I think smileys in signature should still be allowed, together with 1 image (2 for VIPs). And if 10 lines isn't enough we can try 15 I guess? Maybe we can remove the limit on the number of characters then as a limit of 15 lines should be enough.
For the ranks it might have been better if we had not adjusted the lower ranks, because now some people went down in rank and that's not nice. So next time we will only add new ranks to the top I think.
Hmm yeah I agree that there shouldnt be a limit on smilies in signatures, unless of course there is a stupid amount.
There should be a line limit though definately, as some people tend to want a 30 line signature for some reason
Well done, changing the ranks just means more spam.
Well there were always ranks before, just now its harder to get into them ranks, it doesnt necesarily mean people will spam to get into them, if they do they will be punished.
GommeInc is the person with the record number of posts here, and his posts aren't spam.
Also, generally speaking most spam is in the VIP Sub-Forums, and post counts don't change there anyway.
Of course it means there will be more spam. People like myself have gone down from Habbox Elite to Seniour member, so they're going to want to get that rank back faster. They will be punished? That's really worked in the past. Scott in the runescape forum for example, he's been banned how many times for spamming now, yet keeps coming back..Quote:

After X amount of bans (especially for the same offence) the user will be permanently banned. Even if they make a new account they will need to make their post count back and if they spam we will ban yet again.Quote:
