What do you think the best message board type is?

I have created this thread so that if you need to know which message board people think is the best then it is all avliable in this topic. If you wish to give your view on which message board you think is the best please post it in the topic below.

vBulletin boards are the best by far. They have more fetures etc.
Ah. Yes they may be the best, but they are also the most expensive :) but i suppose if you want the best features you would pay the extra.
Invsionfree isnt a type of message board :rolleyes: its just a modifed version of IPB. IPB being the board i personly say is the best forum system of them all. Being easy to modfied and ad to, profecnal look and feel, easy of use.
And with a proper fully working moderation system rather than the crapy systems things like VB tend to use, wich is why VB is rairly used in what would be considered Large forums.
Vb has more fetures by defult, but ipb, with a little work ipb can get far far far more
vBulletin is not the best! It's the most expensive and if anything it has less features than IPB :P

Yes, i suppose that i will have to agree on that, as they do have basically the same features, but they both have their advantages and disadvantages.
IPb wins every time for me, since even thogh its probaly equal to Vb as has been said, the 2.x is also alot cheeper than Vb's equivelnt and gives a far superios service, including free phone support, board installtions etc etc, while vb only offers the febail email support "/.
Plus the real reason ipb wins, is becuse its so exstanable easy to mod, and make hacks for, and also becuses of the massive amount of mods and hacks already made for it that are avuble to download say from invisionize.com etc "/
Plus has far better skinning and modertaion systems "/
I find, people who don't know much about the internet say vBulletin as they will have heard the most about it as its the most publicised.
IPB is the best, but then again, it's my opinion. And Carls evidently, and hes rarely wrong

Easily Vbulletin-It's better then any other;)
But V-Bulliten is expensive but then again I suppose that you are paying for the features.
Invision Power Board :D User-Friendly Admin CP BUT still has most features (even more) then Vbulletin. Vbulletin is hard to install skins (for me) and you could put arcades, points, etc to your invision power board which is great :)
Yer IPB and Vbulliten are the main 2.
I believe phpbb is free and is highly recommended on other boards.
