Ok so I got too excited and forgot to write up the quarters, so you get two lots in one today even though it's actually still fewer games. ANYWAY.
Quarter Finals
Semi Finals
Unfortunately we say goodbye to yet more of you as only two now remain! Thank you for playing:
Of course I wouldn't have made this far if I were representing Brazil anyway! (jk)
hahaha the kneelers lost.
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I WONNNNNNNNN !!!!!!!
I think
Italy knelt too, so nope. Nice support of the country you pretend matters so much to you though.
Feeble reaching racists aside:
It was a fast-paced match from the outset, with England looking uneasy at the back against some high Italian pressing before a shock early goal from Luke Shaw of all people put England ahead. For the rest of the first half England seemed to have all the confidence, but going into the second half wavered and couldn't keep the ball. Italy equalised after some scrappy fumbling in the goalmouth, and the rest of normal time was spent desperately fending off a renewed vigor from the Azzuri. 30 minutes of extra time was gruelling and the Three Lions looked ready to give up at times, not helped by a referee who was unwilling all game to properly sanction dangerous behaviour - I'm fairly certain that choking is not allowed. England were largely outplayed but not outgunned as it all ended 1-1, but it seemed they had nothing left to offer during the spot kicks. Two superb Pickford saves gave them some hope but it was Gianluigi Donnarumma who was the hero in the end, with the shootout ending 3-2 to Italy: the new champions!
Congratulations to Chipmunks who wins this sweepstakes, and congratulations of course to the Italian team!
Thank you to everyone who took part, it's been a fab tournament for the most part, marred by the horrible actions of a few
I don't support BLM so they can take a hike.Quote:

Usually we flew St George's flags when England played. None went up this year - and I have seen a lot fewer around than usual.
