Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor is arrested

Police arrested the former Prince Andrew, Duke of York yesterday on Misconduct in Public Office allegations

I find the whole thing over a (still) innocent man to be rather distasteful.

Prince Andrew did show beyond poor judgement meeting with Epstein after he was convicted, and that alone (meeting with a convicted peadophile) should be enough to finish his public-facing life. I personally believe in the death penalty for peadophiles, let alone emailing them and remaining friends with them. But that isn't illegal no matter how mindboggling and morally low some of us find it. Nor is allegedly sleeping with a 17 year old - again, morally wrong in my eyes, but not illegal under British law. Added to that, the woman who accused him (now dead) was caught out peddling lies about other men who turned out to be innocent.

I still believe in the old idea of innocent until proven guilty, and whilst the former prince quite clearly is arrogant, out of touch and has no sound judgement, he is still yet to be convicted of anything.

I am probably alone in this view but I wondered if anyone thought similar?
