    Question What Does It Mean?

I heard a lot of people say: "I take ______ for granted". What does it mean when they say that? I looked it up in the dictionary but it didn't really help. Does it also work on places and objects?
    Examples:
    I take Tina for granted.
I take Fiji Island for granted
I take the computer for granted.

I think it means you dont appreciate that its there as much as you should.
Like if you take your mcomputer for granted, it means you dont appreciate that if you didnt have it you would have to do so much more work.
Or if you take ur mum for granted it means you dont appreciate how much she does and you should do.
    Hope it helps.
