    What exactly are they? I am trying to install a script but it says my db information is incorrect, the only thing i havent filled in is the prefix but i dont even know what it is

    Can anyone help?

    Its just something some scripts add to table names. Say like the script wanted to add the table user and you told it to add a scr_ prefix it would make the table scr_user insted of user.

    You dont really need one. Its only really used when you install the same thing 2 times into the same database.
