One thing that really bugs me on here is this question.


If you bump an old thread people yell at you, bad rep you, flame you, or whatever.

If you make a thread over a subject made a long time ago people yell at you, bad rep you, and flame you for making a thread someone already did.


so which one is right?

Bumping or double threading?

Bumping, if it was a decent subject.

Double threading if the old 1 was say rather busy, can't really have the same effect as the original thread?

I'd say just make a new one. In the thread, you should state that you are aware of the other thread and specify a reason to why you'd want to make another thread over the same subject.
