    Right,

    Could someone please help me with this. If I purchased a domain name from www.1and1.co.uk, could I use that domain on ANY webhost like: http://www.arhoster.com/

    Yes you will just have to but the domain sepratly and then add it to your hosting.

    yes you can, What you do is buy the domain and get the Domain Name Servers of your host. Then you put somrhting like ns1.something.com in DNS1 and put somin like ns2.something.com in DNS2. And then go into your cpanel and park the domain, you may have to wait a bit for the DNS to propogate.

    It is all about the DNS placeholders. If you cant do it, ask your hosting support for help with it, they might do it for you..

    As other people have said, you edit the DNS/nameservers. I use 1and1 for all my domains so if you need any help send me a PM
