The world's obsession with Arms is quite disturbing, yet America seem to have the most problems. America boasts 200 Million of the World's 639 Million small arms, and this makes it incredibly easy for people incredibly young to go to their homes, pick up a gun and then make their way to school or a friend's house.
Nearly one in three American households have a gun in them, 30% of these leave the gun loaded and unlocked.
The ease at which young people can get weapons is clearly a problem, the firearm-related death rate in America for under 15s is twelve times high than the average twenty five in other industrialised countries...

Im all for the stereotyping Americans stuff, but this is a bit too much. Yeah, obviously we have a problem-- but it's not like we are unaware. (Correct me if I'm wrong) The right to bear arms is the 2nd thing in the constitution, it's not like having a gun is illegal here. Also, you forget to mention that 99.9% of kids who bring a gun to school, DONT USE IT. Theres an average of 1, maybe 2 school shootings in the U.S. per year (none for over a year).

What does how many guns we sell/buy have to do with how easy it is to get one from your house and bring it to your friend's house? I dont see the connection

Also, the figure about how many houses have guns- You didn't cancel out the percentage of those guns left unlocked with how many of those houses have children in them. The unlocking the gun thing may seem stupid, but people do it for self-defence. In an emergency, you don't have time to unlock your gun. I dont have one, and I am for locking up guns, but Im explaining the thinking behind it.

I understand what you are saying, but the fact guns have been left around lead to many problems...
As you said the Second Amendment to the constitution does say "Every citizen shall have the right to keep and bear arms". But the way they keep these arms are far from sensible. Even now, the sale and manufacture of Assault weapons still continues, following votes against an amended bill that stopped this.
I am not saying this is the case with everyone, but I am merely saying it is something of a problem.

The amendment concerning arms was made to apply to the time the amendment itself was made. Because there were criminals at the time as well, people had to protect themselves and many individuals carried guns around with them for protection. The amendment is useless now, but still provides citizens with the right to bear arms, however, it would have been impossible for them to predict the problems such amendment would bring upon society in the future.

Hmm.. Sounds a bit sterotypical.. But yeah. All these Console Games like GTA and 50 Cent : Bulletproof lead us to think this way.

We don't have one, but my dad always said that if you have a flag outside your house, then you own a gun.

I have NEVER heard anyone trying to pass an amendment bill to ban manufacturing guns; probably because it will NEVER pass. Amendments are hard to pass, there have only been 17 or so times a new amendment is seen, which isnt much after 200 years.

Your arguement about how people are irresponsible with guns isnt very well kept. Why not ban cars? People are killed in car accedents much more than by guns. How come thats not a problem? You can be equally, or even more irresponsible with a car than with a gun.

No; thats a bad arguement too. If games like that promote violence so much, how come teen violence is down so much since GTA's first release. In fact, games like GTA have probably helped violence go down. This is absolutly accurate: this game helps kids deal with violence like that in a game, rather than in real life.

Incorrect: Last time I checked there are more crimminals now than in 1776. I dont see why the amendment is so different now.
