If you do alot of training for football then it's gonner be quite hard to put on weight unless you eat LOADS. Try to eat a healthy, balanced meal every 2-3 hours, and don't skip breakfast.

Make a target weight for yourself for each week, then get weighed the same time each week, e.g. just before breakfast on a Monday Morning. If you find you're not putting on weight, add more calories to your diet, and keep doing that till you put on weight.

okay, eating twice as much doesnt always work.

before you go to bed eat something fatt, even if its just chocolate.

then you dont burn it off during the day

I eat loads and loads of junk food too, and nothing happens to me either. Probably because I'm always out playing football and stuff...

Eating junk food isn't a good way to put on weight.. Eating lots of meat will help.
If I was you, I'd hate me too..

You need a balanced diet - not just greasy, unhealthy foods.

When I wanted to put on weight, I actually cut back on many junk foods, drunk more water, ate more fruits, and asked for larger portions at dinner.

Obviously, it'll differ from person to person. The best bet is to speak to your doctor about your concerns about your weight, you may be worrying over nothing, and if not, they'll be able to help you more

It is a lot harder for a slim person to put on weight than for a fat person to lose it. Eating more will not help. Generally, slim people eat loads anyway because they don't worry about their weight. Their metabolism can cope with how much they eat so they are always slim. If you eat more your metabolism will just deal with it.

It is true that if you eat enough you will get fatter, but for slim people you have to eat loads, so much that you will get spots and feel sluggish and sick all the time before you start putting on weight.

Seriously, from someone who knows you will find it very hard to put on weight by eating.

The best way to build stength is to go to the gym. That sometimes increases weight more than eating because muscle weighs more than fat and is also more useful because you can push people harder with weight AND muscle! lol

Also, although people always say exercising burns off fat, but if you go to a gym and put in your weight on a running machine, then run for 10 mins til you're sweating your head off the machine will tell you how many calories you burnt off. Normally you burn off 150ish I seem to remember. Now if you look how many calories are in a sausage you'll see that running for 10 mins barely gets rid of anything. So unless you are already fat then dont worry abuot losing weight from the gym.

So focus on building up your muscle rather than gaining fat.
